Hmmm, is there something he's been mentioning that you could get him? Mine has bday coming up in early Nov., and he has been mentioning this certain hat that he used to have and can't find because the business closed - well, it reopened three blocks away from my apt., so I'm going on a finding mission! Seriously, if there's something he's been wanting or talking up, that might be a good place to start. Also, anything quirky works. Mine has been fascinated by the Guiness Book of World Records, for some reason, and the movie Shogun.

God, these Scorpios are very ... different. LOL!

"hypno: i love your thoughtful gift idea. what can i get him that's thgougthful? hmmmmm...."

Well, you know him so you shold know what he likes.
My best friend always bought me gifts that indicate he knows what i want and what i love, thoughtful things, not neccessarly expensive..and they are for me more valuable than expensive clothes or perfumes.
Actually when someone gives me clothes or perfume, it shows that one didn'r scratch his mind a bit to think about me or even bothered to do so.

The best gifts for me have always been the Highly Practical ones. Practical in the sense that they worked for me...instead of me trying to figure out what they meant, or trying to figure out how to incorporate them into my life.

I sew a lot, so one year I got a great sewing machine.
I cook a lot, so I asked for a kick a** frying pan...and got it.
My condo doesn't have a tub, so I asked for a SERIOUS hotel stay where I could take a long, hot bath. I got that too.
I'm a hardcore gamer, so I ended up with a great new MMORPG (you get the point).

Sometimes I hate being asked, especially by someone who's supposed to know me. I always thought, "If you know me and you've seen me in action, then you should know what would make me smile." But if I don't trust the person's judgment, I'd drop not-so-subtle hints. So if I were you, I'd just watch him.
