Communication with Scorpio

Do you Scorps have difficulty with communicating generally? Not like to talk on the phone? My scorp says Im lucky to get an hour from him on the phone, he usually doesnt do more than 5 minutes. Whats this about?
I notice the retrograde seems to have him in a funk. Says he will call on a certain day but doesn't. Says he feel in a dark place right now, so I give space. Communication is a challenge during retro in merc. Maybe the retrograde, or maybe the typical Scorpio black cloud. Sigh...I hate to see him hurt.
I am like that also I would rather than talk unless I am in the mood to talk, or it's a guy who I like then ofcourse he would get more communication. I do however think this is a men thing mostly, they don't like to sit on the phone but they will to please their woman.
face to face is where its at. talking on the phone is lame!
when i talk to people face to face, i can see all your ticks and see if your ass is lying or not. the phone can only give you so much.

I feel more in power when i get to meet with people in person usually i enjoy the "surprise" factor.

This scorp man is much more adept at sharing emotions in the written form, rather than verbal. But, even, then, it takes a lot to get him to open up about his feelings. Sometimes he seems so into me, others Im left wondering. Its always a rollar coaster ride with him.
