Competing with another girl for a Scorpio male. Help!!

Hey there!
I recently started talking to a Scorpio guy. We're friends but my gut tells me that he likes me and I also like him A LOT!! Since the beginning I knew that many girls were attracted to him, so I tried not to throw myself at him. But after a while I decided it was time to open up and I started giving him subtle hints that I'm into him. After that, he also started opening more and flirting with me more. I wasn't so sure if he liked me until one day he told me I was PERFECT. And from there, I kind of knew he liked me. The problem is that there's a girl that constantly flirts with him. She makes it SUPER obvious that she likes him. For his birthday, she was the first one to write on his wall on Facebook. She's always the first one to comment on his photos and everything. I'm assuming he knows that she likes him. Well, the other day I found out something that made me really sad. This girl was tagged on a photo with another girl and he basically wrote a comment saying: "You girls look beautiful" and he posted an emoji with heart eyes!!!!!! OMG, and I feel like he said that because she was on the photo. And of course, she got all happy and replied "thanks". So now I'm confused because he told me I was perfect but also made a compliment to that girl. I don't know if he likes her too. Now I'm not sure if I should continue giving him signs that I like him or back off, since this girl won't stop flirting with him and it's annoying because he will think he has 2 options if I act available. What makes it worst is that now he's flirting with her back since he said she looked beautiful. Should I bother to compete with this girl for him? BELIEVE ME, I REALLY LIKE HIM A LOT!!!! He's a really nice guy but she's going to be on our way. I feel a connection because I'm a Cancer. The other girl is a Virgo. Any advice on how to act with him???? I'm scared of looking desperate like that girl but I don't want to miss my chance with him. Help!!

I'm confused as to what one has to do with the other. So because you're "perfect" he suppose to magically go blind? Leave him to the Virgo. You want this too much, so you'll never be on equal footing with the Scorp. Not a good way to start any potential relationship.

But honestly. All virgos I know including myself actually act hostile towards whomever I like at the time. Like I'll act cold and then warm. And then cold again. Not because I want to, but it's just how I am. I get shy and self conscious. Sooo... ?

You already said that if you make yourself seem too open, he'll have the both of you wrapped around his finger.
Why don't you just try being there for him in a way she isn't. Don't use up all your time and thoughts on this guy. Be a little mysterious, make him want to get to know you instead of crawling at his feet.

It seems your a little more than antsy about her being in the picture.

Be yourself. Don't compete. Don't display jealousy. Don't ask him about her only b/c she isn't relevant in your situation with him unless you allow Scorpio girl to get in your head and throw you off track by making her relevant ie important.

Im a water sign as well, and I have a thing for a Scorpio. He fell in love with me last spring but I wasnt ready for a commitment. We remained lovers and saw other people.
The more men i went thru the more i realized how special my scorpio was. Then right as I was ready to say lets do this - he fell in love with another woman. She too is Scorpio.
He kept me as a lover but then the guilt started to break him. I kept telling him I would never say no to him. That I was his for the taking.
But then last weekend I decided no. If he is with her, and still wants me I'm going to cut him off. He needs to be monogamous with her to figure out if shes the one for him.
But I know he still wants me. We still hang out a few nights a week, platonically. And now I'm just biding my time. Waiting for them to implode.
I keep seeing him so he has me in his face which reminds him how much he desires me (he always texts me after we part platonically to tell me how crazy i drive him) but I'm not putting out because he needs to feel the misery of not having me to decide if his relationship is worth it.
