Contemplating Relatioship w/ Scorpio

OK...it's waaaaayyyyy too early (we've only gone out once), but I really like this Scorp. We have a lot in common, he's easy to talk to and...well, it's easy all-round (compared to my other disasters). I'm very familiar w/ the Scorp nature (mom's a scorp), but how it all manifests is what makes me a little hesitant.
I think we both sense that if anything happens between us, it will have to be slow in the making. I have no problem with that AT ALL, because I know the minute we become intimate (and it will be super hard to hold back!)that's it...we're "together"...i'm his and he's mine.
Truth is, I sense in him that he will be and represent the things I look for in a partner/significant other. I also sense that I'll be able to provide him with what he needs, as well.
My question, then, is what is courting like with a Scorpio? What's your strategy?
I've always been the one to initiate things in a relationship, and I'm tired of it (time for a real man to step up to the plate). So, I'm totally willing to let him "lead the way" and be "in control"...w/out becoming a doormat, of course. Still, I'm curious of what to expect. Any advise?
BTW...I'm a Leo. I know that astrologically speaking we're not a good match...but I know several healthy Leo/Scorp couples. PLUS...I've seen his birthchart and once you get past our Suns, it get's better :-)
OK..waiting to hear from you!
Wow... Scorp In Law...you're pretty cool. I'd buy one of those Scorps if you have any extra!
Don't try to "think" for this guy ever
I like that and don't let guys think for you either - seems like a lot do this in general. oh he's just a guy, you know how women are and all that stuff...
i think you'll find as many scorp and leo couples as you would leo and capricorn couples as there's this sense of steadiness/pride with cap and scorp that interprets as loyalty, and loyalty counts for a lot for Leos.
Truth is, I sense in him that he will be and represent the things I look for in a partner/significant other. I also sense that I'll be able to provide him with what he needs, as well.
you already have predetermined factors? smile
Wow, thanks for your comments everyone. I agree that I shouldn't assume anything and that I should just go with the flow. I am almost near getting too ahead of myself, so I will try to just relax and let things progress organically. I have to admit, though, that I'm very excited about the "possibilities" with this Scrop. I'm a different person from 2-3 yrs ago. My values are much more solidified and I have a better understanding and am more aware of my needs in a relationship. If things were to progress, this would be like my first "adult" relationship...know what I mean? So I do want to go as slow as possible w/out reading into things or making assumptions, or having predetermined factors (hehehe).
Anywho, thanks again for all your advice and comments!

One thing you will never have to guess is if he is into you or not. Scorps don't believe in pretence. Not that they will NEVER lie but our actions never lie.

Holy Cheesecurls, Batman! 4 or 5 hours? Sign me up for one of those. Thanks.
