Do opposites really attract?

I really like this Scorpio guy. We are night and day on the surface to each other but we share connecting features to each other. The cool part is we both feel its ok to be opposites. I think opposites attract because traits he has I dont possess and vice versa. I have learned to accept people for who and I'm not even into molding or changing people. Compromising is the key, I personally feel. I recently noticed that I dont fancy my compatible sign as much because we tend to be so much alike I get bored easily.
