I don't know about you guys, but I've been feeling the need to cut some people off since yesterday.
Just this urge to remove all the toxic and useless people from my life (i.e. those who have been stringing me along, treating me like a doormat).
I already cut a person off, not sure if I'll regret this sudden impulsive decision.
I'm somehow feeling empowered after weeks/days of feeling sorry for myself and being in a blur.

I purchased a pair of shoes a few months ago. I searched for these all winter for the spring/summer. For months! Weighed the pros and the cons of the investment. Finally purchased them, wore them twice. I wanted to wear them again a few nights ago, and could not find them ANYWHERE.
I looked high and low, tore my house up. I was bummed. Not only are they a bad pair of shoes, but I also felt like my money totally went down the drain. TODAY, I go through my trunk to look for something before I go running, and guess what I find?!?!
My babies!! I found my shoes!!! TODAY is a GOOD day!!

How are you feeling today?
Although I have been experiencing my bumps and bruises recently, in March I was really out of sorts. I moved away from my family to go to school in September. I used to live in Los Angeles where there is always sunshine, and I moved to the literal hell hole of America in the midwest. The entire month of March was gray, cold, and ugly. Weather that I am not used to. I missed my family incredibly and my father's passing (2011) also seemed to weigh on me heavier than ever before. I was pretty close to miserable!
I remember one day breaking down and praying. Telling God that I could not do it any longer by myself. I was tired. I was tired of loss, thinking, worry, rushing.... I was tired. Somehow, I continued on, and shortly thereafter, the sun came back out. I am not suggesting God brought the sun out (lol), but what I know is that this is all temporary. I follow the idea of impermanence closely. Our human condition is changing from one second to the next.
Whatever you are feeling in this moment, will pass just the same as it came, and you will rise, smarter, stronger, and more courageous than you were before.
I know what it is like to be tired. Trust me. I also know what it is like to get through it and to gain my strength again, and you will soon, as well!! 🙂 🙂 :
