welcome everyone!
i thought i'd start a thread for all the lost souls(here, here, me, me!) who are on dxp during central european daytime. the boards seem to be dead at those times. so, for the people who visit dxp way before the us folks wake up this could be the place to meet. what you think?

HI!!!
that's certainly a good start! it's a gray and gloomy day in hamburg, too. but i don't fcuking care, because i'm too busy planning my future life and career, which is exciting and puts me in a good mood. besides, in a few hours i'll see my baby again
plus, i have a new cool mobile phone since last evening, playing around with it...
AAAAAAAAAND, i ordered a new bike two days ago and got a phone call today that i can pick it up at the shop. will get it later on, after i bring my daughter to bed.
still a bit work to do for today, though...

bicycle, i got a "workout plan", too
otherwise, i'd be sitting mornings in the car on the way to work, then sitting in the office, then again sitting in the car on the way home and at home... sitting around, too....
with my new bicycle i'll get at least some action on the way to work and back
as for a mobile, i got the samsung sgh-g600 - certainly one to consider! which one(s) d'you have in mind?

erm, i like brit pop/rock bands. soul and pop, dance(prefer the funky disco-ish tracks to the techno/rave/trance ones). pretty much mainstream. but not too cheesy. like the classics, too. beatles etc.
inxs
lenny kravitz
sade
maroon 5
sting
phil collins
coldplay
suede
gotta go, i'll continue later on, there?s a trizillion more!!!

mornin'..well, afternoon from PA, USA. great joint you got going here. i'm a cycle geek myself. been a roadie for over 12 years. it's the best. lizard, what kind of bike did you get, and do you have a coach? it's been way cold here, so i'm on the trainer. BORING...but do-able with some kickass tunes. so if anyone has some good trainer tunes, please share.

hey, common ground for us two!
check out www.parismusic.se
they're killers live!
just because i like mainstream doesn't mean that i'm not curious. i go to show in shitty little clubs to see bands i've never heard of before. just to see what else is there, apart from the media pushed music! and i do like quite a few independent acts. but i go to see justin timberlake, just as well. very much enjoyed the live gig. justin is cool!

hi pato,
glad you like our joint
it's a boring average trekking-bike. but it's very robust, stable and family-friendly, which is important to me of lately
LOL
since you're a cycle geek you might know the producers of some of the parts: gears and breaks are made by shimano, the saddle is by wittkop... supposed to be well established brands, to me it's chinese.

good morning everyone!
another grey day in hamburg. starting the day by listening to "I'll Decline" by nate james featuring dawn robinson. that tune rocks. wahey! unfortunately i need a more subtle music for the program i'm doing right now. a mixture of contemporary soul/r'n'b and ambient/chill out music. male vocals. any suggestions????

Squarepusher, we have 'tommib help buss'(that the one you meant). listened to 'my red hot car' - too wild, breakbeats, otherwise nice though.
can't listen to 'tommib... ' because it's not on our server, had to request it from the uk. when the track's available (in a few minutes) i'll listen to that one, too. is it more subtle?

there we go, it's friday!
weekend's close. we're all working and "living for the weekend"(quote: hard-fi... cool track, love it!). even the weather/environment in hamburg seems to know we're close to the weekend. it's kinda fresh/chilly BUT! dry, nice, sunny, people are in a good mood. yahooooooo.... i'm in a good mood.
"Living For The Weekend" by Hard-Fi:
Oh, I've been working a week, I'm tired
Yeah, I've been working a week and I'm
Just living for the weekend
Hey hey
Got some money I just got paid
Got some money and I can't wait
At six o'clock I'm out of here
Out there tonight
Is the night of my last got my name on
Run down my street adidas on my feet
I'm on fire
Working all the time
Work is such a bind
Got some money to spend
Living for the weekend
When it gets too much
I live for the rush
Got some money to spend
Living for the weekend
Oh man!
Yeah I've been working a week, I'm shot
Yeah I've been working a week for what?
Just living for the weekend
Ah shit!
So my clothes are all counterfeit
So my name isn't on the list
'No you can't come in, so go home boys!'
Slip round the back look at that
There's a crack toilet window
Drop to the floor covers us through the door
I'm on fire
Working all the time
Work is such a bind
Got some money to spend
Living for the weekend
When it gets too much
I live for the rush
Got some money to spend
Living for the weekend
Can you feel it?
Feel the pressure... rising
Pushing down on me, oh lord!
Pressure, pressure, pressure pressure pressure
Feel the pressure
Pressure, pressure, pressure pressure pressure
Living for the weekend [x8]
Going out tonight, going out tonight
Baby you and I are going out tonight

yeah, from the same one: chinese. lol
Its Goedemiddag to you!
"Im being tempted into something I dont wanna do, shit I need some advice! lol!
what would you do if you were me?"
i don't know you, i don't know your relationship, i don't know your g/friend... and i don't know how hot those women are, hehe. besides, i believe that what i'd do in that situation might not be what would be good for your situation. i mean, if your g/friend means a lot to you then it would be no-no! if she doesn't mean a lot, then i would think about why you got together in the first place. but i'm probably taking this far too seriously. you were winding me up again, right?

good morning!
a grey, snowy day in hamburg today. i'm back on dxp... hm, let's see what's going on here.
pato, you're looking for cds with that madonna kind of dance music, i'll see what i can find. it'll probably be something european. this is from quite a few years back but do you already have the albums "fever" and "light years" by kylie minogue and "neon nights" by dannii minogue. there aren't so many albums with only dance tunes because dance acts usually produce singles/maxi-cds. find some current dance tunes that you like and see on what compilation cds they are. that might be a good guess if you're looking for cds packed with dance tunes.
check out "24 karat house", a compilation cd. it's got catchy dance tunes on it

well, good afternoon!
Arghhh.. There are so many.. I'd pick something from hard rock and heavy metal.
Megadeth's Symphony Of Destruction
Metallica's Don't tread on me (and of course Enter Sandman as well)
Suicidal Tendencies' (WOW, there are too many to mention) For example these:
Trip At The Brain
Institutionalised
If I Don't Wake Up
I Want more
The Feeling's Back
And all of them actually
I like so many kind of music, I could also mention some rap artists, Ice-T is one of them, then Whitney Houston, also Michael Jackson is a genius, Madonna was so great in 80s too... I just can't remember all of them now..
How about your favourites, Liz?

hi s&s, my favourites are mainstream pop/rock/soul acts, it's all pretty much middle of the road. 80s it would be: sting, sade, inxs, queen, prince, george michael, whitney houston etc. but it's not really artists i'm usually after, it's certain songs:
owner of a lonely heart, cars and girls, father figure, license to kill, careless whisper, all sade singles, human nature, man in the mirror, liberian girl, billie jean, against all odds, in the air tonight, mama(genesis), land of confusion, throwing it all away, never tear us apart... and so many more, and that's just the 80s, hehe
