Many years ago I had a Scorp Moon friend who i refused to play games with because he would become such a whiney cry-ass that it made the energy in the room unpleasant. Like super mopey, woe is me if he wasn't doing well. Made me want to junk punch him but instead i just chose not to play with him.
Haha, I expected as much..going by the responses in this topic.
Backstory to this:
6 nice people meet up to play boardgames (4 out of the 6 work in IT..so there you go).
Virgo, Taurus, Cancer, Leo and the Scorp and his Gemini girlfriend.
Now he's a fire moon. I'm not going to say which one but it starts with Leo.
We played 7 wonders cuz there were 2 chicks therefore the big bad 4 men didn't believe we can master anything more difficult.
Anyway to cut it short. Each player has a distinct advantage based on the wonder he chooses to build. The Taurus had the advantage at looking through discarded cards and pick some for winner points. Problem is, there is no specific rule when you can do that. The game says as soon as you accomplish the second stage of the wonder. That would be..mid game. The pack of discarded cards is a fortune because all the other players discard the cards that would most benefit the others. So me and the Scorpio were discarding cards at an alarming speed. So the middle of the game comes up..he chooses not to look through it. But then right at the end of the game he looks through the WHOLE pile of discarded cards (As you can imagine there's a huge number of awesome cards in it now).
So the fight breaks up. The Taurus said he had the right, the rules don't state it but don't deny it either. So it's a gray area. Ofcouse the Scorpio was not about to allow the gray area. So they started fighting (both have known each other since forever). In the middle of the fight the Scorp's girlfriend got in with the light mutable "let's chill out guys it's just a game, btw boyfriend dear you're in the wrong on this". The GLARE he gave her. I was sitting behind him and waving my arms at her to stop her from babbling cuz he got even more enraged. So he goes to the kitchen to calm down, I follow him.
"Hey man, calm down"
"Oh I am calm. Just burning bridges right now. I don't even care, I'm burning all the bridges in the world."
"Ok.."
"Did you see her? I feel so betrayed. How dare she?"
At this point I laughed which probably didn't help matters.
Anyway game lasted 45 minutes, the fight lasted for an hour and a half.
We all went home in silence and awkwardness. The Scorpio couldn't help but yell at the Taurus on the way out "Maybe you can take the Gem too since you're soooo thick as thieves".
Oh boy.
So I was wondering if anyone can relate to this.

It got crazy, I put my soul into winning I was about to cry after I lost.
the next day I got a huge wrapped box.
I looked inside and there was a tennis ball with a note that said.
"the ball is in your court".

I am competitive as well but I will just laugh and wave until I can plot your demise. YOU MIGHT HAVE WON THE BATTLE BUT YOU'RE NOT WINNING THE WAR.
That is, if we're playing a game I'm good at. If I'm not good at it, I have no issues if I lose. Ok, as long as I'm not the last one.

Oh I should add..the fight did start on game rules but it spiralled into everything that is wrong with the Taurus's logic and life.

😆! This would have had me howling. He would have kicked my ass for sure. Wtf? Did his gf chuckle at all? After he cooled off I'd bring that comment up every chance I could too. Hehe. I like to poke the bear. Especially if you're being ridiculous.
Meh. I don't take games that are meant to be fun serious at all. I enjoy winning sure and I am focused when I am playing, but the outcome isn't all the important to me. It's the experience of being with other people and having fun that I care about. I'm animated, loud, laugh a lot.
I sincerely find some people's response to winning or losing amusing though and tend to analyze the hell out of that.
Oh Phoenix believe me...I was laughing on the inside like hell.

I remember when I was in a debate contest. The final debate would take place the second day and that night I prayed "Pls God I'm not saying you should kill my oponent in his sleep but if he could just..not wake up and miss it? I don't really pray to you that much so this is important for me"

Oh and after that game and before we all left..we thought we should do some miming. He was in an opposing team. I picked the word dystopia.
Went to the bathroom, when I got out I saw him on all fours squealing like a pig "Oh god he's using Animal Farm to get his teammates to guess lol"
They didn't which annoyed him further "What are you all, uncultured?"
