Have you felt defeated before but overcame?

Scorpios I know you can achieve to almost any extent. Do you go through a certain time period in your life when you felt defeated?
Lost yes,but defeated not..in everything i do i like to be the master in this field so any loss is normal as long as i get up again.

Well I felt defeated when I was physically abused by my sons father, although he apoligized years later.
When I was carjacked, raped, robbed and held hostage by a fucking crack head for a couple of hours was the worst defeat in my life.
