He made me say I love you first?

Two weeks ago my Scorp boyfriend and I were talking about something silly in the kitchen when I was making dinner, then he playfully said "do you love me or hate me?" I giggled nervously and then he repeated it seriously. I said "I really like you a lot" and he got kinda annoyed and walked away saying "oh this isn't good". I laughed "I do love you!" and he said he didn't believe me so I said it seriously. He said it to me but he was shy. Then later he hugged me from behind and whispered "I love you" which was nice.

I have been waiting for him to say it because we've been together 8 months and I was starting to feel something. Now it just feels awkward. It wasn't very romantic. Even though he said it, I'm not actually sure he does love me. He's only said it once more time since. He doesn't open up to me / keeps a lot in, thinks a lot, broods, ect. I would rather have fun, be open and honest, because we've together and that's the point.

But HE'S experienced, why did he go this route?

Why does it matter? The man loves you. Why are you picking it apart?

....I'm guessing that is exactly why he "went that route".

Be happy, go walk on cloudsss and tell him whenever you feel like it that you love him. -_- there are really not much man who say it andddd there even less scorps blurring it out like that.
