HOW CAN YOU TELL SOMEONE IS LYING

when asking my scorp friend why he talks to me.... he got very uncomfortable.. started playing with his hat on his head... and turning red, , smiling uncontrollably, and did not make ANY eye contact with me
when he answered: i dunno, ur a friend to me now i guess.....
hed pause... repeat that again.. take a deep breathe and say... i feel better when i talk to you

now to me a question like that is reflex.... but his reaction kinda shocked me

is their mouth moving? then their lying.


usually people scratch their heads, look to the left, avoids making eye contact, Hands touching their face, throat & mouth. Touching or scratching the nose or behind their ear.

i wouldn't say he was lying just from that. you probably caught him off guard with that question.

has he given you a reason to question his motivations?

i asked him that question last week, and he answered i dunno...
then never gave an answer...

then we went for coffee and he brought up that conversation we had.... so i asked him again...

and then thats how he repsonded

Well your gut intuition is the best way to go

Signs someone is being dishonest:
-Hands in their pockets
-Feet facing the opposite direction of their body or you
-Fumbling with clothes, collar, tie, hat, etc.
-Covering mouth as they speak
-Not being able to make consistent eye contact & in some cases, staring a little TOO long at your eyes while talking (trying too hard to pretend you're paying attention)

the whole not looking at me at all and fidgeting with his hat made me feel he was lying.... but what the truth is..... that i dont know

What situation would YOU do this in?

For me, it sounds like he has a crush on you but isn't willing to admit it. Afraid to scare you away? Esp with that long relationship you just got out of?

It's obvious that you have already made a decision as to what it means ... so why ask a question to which you don't want any answer except the one you've decided upon?

Girl, I already told you...He likes you. You are playing the same game he was when he was asking you all those questions.
But you have a boyfriend, which is probably why he focused his attention on that other chick. Quit playing the silly games with each other. And if your not going to stop, at least have the decency to let your current man go instead of dragging him along. As a scorp, if you are focusing on me and I later find out you have a man, I'm not going to give you a chance. You'll do the same damn thing to me and I don't tolerate that bullshit.

If you want him or any other man to view as a valuable enough to be girlfriend material, then don't you suppose you should at least have some integrity?
