Is he interested in me?

this guy in my class..i've never really paid much attention to him before..i mean he;s cute but i kinda started paying more attention to him after my friend said she thinks he likes me

the other day we were outside and i was walking with my friend...she sped up a bit and started walking ahead so i was walking by myself....he was watching me walk up and was like

did you guys already do your laps ( we were in gym)?
i noticed he said you guys but he was looking at me and i said i already did my laps so apparently he thought i got an attitude with my reply and said 'why you gettin an attitude cutie'? he was smiling and looking at me the whole time....i replied with i dont have an attitude and kept on walking....i could hear him saying something else but couldnt quite make it out.....

even though my friend heard the conversation..she said she knew he liked me even before this happened and this is the first time i've heard her say something about it.

she said he asked her about me when i wasnt around....and behind my back she says he says things like im cute/pretty and she said she heard him say my name before ....and he watches me alot...etc....

i was kind of suprised because i didnt see him being interested in me as she says but i guess i just didnt realize it....for example yesterday,,, she said she overheard he was talking to 2 of his friends asking them if they thought i was pretty and things like that...

but today me and my friend were in the hallway and he was walking past and he didnt even say anythiing....he just looked at me...

so do you think he actually likes me as my friend says?
