Just want to ask a no-string Q regarding Scorpios

Can a Scorpio type hold on to someone for years and years if they have no intention of being together?
i.e.: as an act of revenge, for fun, or to prove something?
Or.. because they don't want to let go for the sake of not letting go?

the answer if it's me is YES (personally). I need to be your most trusted friend before I could betray you. I needed to be the most important person in your life before I do my necessary action, otherwise, it would be useless.

but then again, I have to weigh the time and effort I need to waste versus the hurt you caused before I do that. Usually, simple stuff i let them go... as long as you won't give me the chance to get even. 'cos if I see an opportunity (without doing any effort), no matter how long it has been since the mistake was made.. i'd take it.. hahaha.. so yeah.. pray.
