Love vs. In Love for Scorpios

I was burned by a Pisces (I am Taurus). He told me he loved me then dumped me saying he loved me but wasn't IN love with me. I called him a liar and he said that he DID love me, but wasn't IN love. I wonder if Scorpios are the same way. He says he loves me but is he in love? How do I ask him? He does Scorpio things - calls a lot, goes out of his way to be with me, includes me in his life, but that's what the Pisces did, too! Even introduced me to his family but he was never in love with me. I don't want to be hurt again and I'm getting a bad gut feeling about my relationship with this Scorpio. I never really followed astrology but I did research and sure enough he is a Scorpio who has been hurt very bad in the past and I treat him very nicely.
You have to let the Pisces go in order to fully appreciate the Scorpio.
Being IN love is a stronger feeling than loving someone. you can love someone and not be in love with them. i.e: i love my guy friends yet i am not IN love with them, you see what i'm saying? but trust that if he does tell you he's in love with you (and that he shows he too, of course), he means it. scorps don't throw around the "in love" thing around. in fact, i personally kind of hate to admit to being in love when i am, because it such a strong thing to me.
and like ray's heart said, basically, don't dwell on that past relationship. they're two different people and even different signs. if you have that thing with the pisces in the back of your mind then you're not going anywhere.

Well, this is not a horoscope thing. Everyone can do that. I used to tell my first ex that I loved him but I was not in love with him. I stayed with him b/c I felt sorry for him basically. Also, you should be able to feel/tell whether or not a guy is in love with you. How long have you two been together?

My younger Brother is a Scorpio who's been married 5 times. He attracts and is attracted to Earth Sign Gals, but it never lasts - they get tired of being his surrogate mother... He's with a Pisces Chick now, and it seems a much better match...
I think Earth Guy & Water Gal are a better astrological match than Earth Gal & Water Guy... No offense, but Earth Gals can be rough on a man's ego.
My advice: Since you've been burned, find yourself a loyal Virgo or a solid Taurus Guy. My first adult lover was a Taurus, and I have very fond memories of her - 25 years later!

I'm sorry for your heartache over the Piscean. It takes some people a little time to realize that they are not truly "vibe"-ing with the other person. It would be great if we all knew right away that this is The One and could cut to the chase or just walk on by.
To answer your question: The scorpio could be the same way. And so could any other man. It's not necessarily a "sign" thing as someone said. It could be a "time" thing -- i.e: where he is in his life. Being in love with someone can mean many different things to a man. If he's a mature man, he could be thinking long-term (possibly marriage) and whether or not he can take care of you rather than just an idea of an affair. Sometimes it could be situational rather than ideological.
