okay so my friend and i have this amazing relationship
together...i'm a scorpio and she's a leo...and
contrary to popular belief we have amazing
communication skills, and an untouchable bond...
we've had big fights in the past...mostly about
stupid childish things that later on get resolved
but...no matter how big the fights are we always
seem to get back on track and nothing is able
to seperate us....anyways today me and her
got together with a group of friends and went
down to the beach...and for some reason...
i felt jealous that there were other people there...
there was this really nasty feeling inside like i
have to have her all to myself...and i felt like i
wasn't being paid enough attention to...
i didn't want to bring it up because i know she
did absolutely nothing wrong...but..i'm wondering
how can i get past this weird jealosy thing.. it's not the
first time this has happened...and i keep this to myself
because i know that its not okay to have these feelings...
it's not like i don't want her to have other friends
because that's just ridiculous..but at the same
time i have this fear that what if she finds
a better friend....
sorry this is soooo long..i just had to get it
off my chest...

i hope so...i mean for the most part the whole jealousy thing isn't that big of an issue...but every once in a while it will come up, and i hate that feeling, but i do try to control it and not let it bother me....
thanks for the insights...

I've had that problem all my life. I became very jealous and possesive with my friends. I did outgrow it to an extent. I no longer feel that way with friends. My boyfriend is another matter.
Jealousy is a total waste of energy. Our energies should be focused on the love we feel. You know, put to a more positive use. I KNOW THIS. But have a hard time doing it.
It's good you can restrain your jealous thoughts and feelings. It's not a good rep to have as the "jealous friend".

"I've had that problem all my life."
Same. And I recall having the same experience with a Leo also, who would start sharing OUR funniest inside jokes with 'friends' that we just met, or other things like that - things that made our friendship 'better' than all the other normal ones that we saw around us. Then the Leo could start treating a new friend the same way that they royally treated ME, a longer time friend hahah.
But yes, like JP said, jealousy is a waste of time. It's also very convicting to me, the saying "Envy is ignorance", because I don't feel that I'm an ignorant person at all, but when it comes to personal matters (matters of the heart), boy do things get clouded and shrouded all of a sudden, and I believe that all Scorps can relate to that, am i right?
Envy IS ignorance. I know Scorps have more hunger than anything, so it makes it hard for the sign of desire and merging to sit still like a Taurus haha, but jealousy can translate to a lack of appreciation, or being too intent on having what you want more than wanting what you have. Again, it's still a problem for me, these small proverbs don't change me either =).

I totally agree Elliott. Just hearing you say that brings up memories of younger days. I would litterally cut good friends out of my life for being that way. For wanting to share "our" friendship. It sounds shallow. OK, it is shallow. But the hurt I felt inside was easier to deal with if I just shut them out and didn't have to deal. Plus the hurt on their face was worth it. I think back now and I know it was wrong.

Shallow? Lol didn't even occur to me that it could be shallow, I mean depending on how private or possessive of a person you are, I can understand completely.
Or maybe it seems shallow on the surface to the people wondering what the f you're doing to them, but of course feelings-wise it's considerable depth of passion that drives the 'cut' lol, you could even blame it on the heat of anger. Shallow is cutting a friend out of your life because of where he lives lol, I think it's much more personal of a matter to need your friend in entirety (all their strenghts and all their weaknesses shared with you) or not to need them at all. It is a shame though, because if you can manage not to cut them out of your life too quickly, a situation like that can bear new fruit. I think that's important.

Oh Lord, so now it's time for me to get out of here for some of THAT baby! By the way, how hot is it in Vegas right now? Do you even have to bbq your food or do you just leave it on the table for 5 minutes and let it sizzle? =P

Usually the latter. But the monsoons are in full swing right now. It's overcast and about 95 degrees. There is a flash flood watch in effect until 11pm. I have it on the weather channel right now and Vegas is surrounded by storms! So our firework show might be cancelled tonight.

Wow, now that you've told me that, I hope so too. I'm in Cali, I'm lucky this year because my sister and I have organized something so that all our friends AND family are coming to the same place to eat and play before we set out to hit firework shows. It's huge; I'm stoked. I'm also hungry! =d So I'll talk to you later JP, good luck with the weather, have a good one.

I live in Las Vegas too - The weather was perfect!!! Had a great time with my friends, shooting fireworks, a few drinks and lots of laughter!
Just so you know. I am a leo and my friend is a scorpio. I don't think that scorpio is always the only one that feels jealousy. If you're in a close relationship, then you can bet your leo friend will feel jealous of your company at times too. Leos don't like to admit this feeling because it's suppose to be beneath them somehow but believe you me we do!!!!!
I think that's one of the trickiest parts for leo and scorpio relationships although there can be several. While leos demand loyalty, we sometimes forget just how important this is to scorpios.
I'm sure you can work this out. Trust me. Your leo friend views your friendship as one if not the best relationship ever. Good luck.
