I am interested in finding out from all the scorpios on the board as to what type of decor best describes you.
Are you into the contemporary stuff or antique? What type of property do you like..new builds or victorian era?

I am into the old stuff. For instance in my house I have a lot of rustic oak, I love anything that looks ancient (except men). I can accessorize really well but all in rustic colours..deep reds, rustic browns..property wise I prefer anything that looks dark and dingy..I don't like bright colours and lights..bright colours have to compliment whats already in the house furniture wise and colourings..I am good at co-ordinating..

So what best describes you?

Wow..that sounds amazing...I am soooo inviting myself to yours!!..lol..
Exposed beams..another love of my own....my kitchen is definitely the old country cottage theme...when it was up on the market, the agents were always saying the kitchen is defo the selling point...I am too working on the master bedroom at the moment...it's rustic orange carpet..deep creams walls..deep red bed linen..the art piece on the wall has a rustic frame but the picture itself is a maroon and different shades of brown and cream..(can you tell I have a thing for deep red..lol)..There is also a black and white portrait of Audrey Hepburn (breakfast at tiffanys). Mostly throughout the house is a middle eastern (morroccon) theme....

i love traditional spanish houses, especially if they have alot of moroccan features like arches and stuff cos i love moroccan furniture and those deep rich colours in their fabrics. i just love gorgeous things. things that may have no purpose other than to be looked at and appreciated for their gorgeousness. tapestries and wallhangings. sumptuous soft furnishings. sculptures. huge paintings - preferably surrealist. lots of ceramics - moroccan ofcourse. and wood ofcourse. olive wood in particular. it has a fantastic grain in it.

interior courtyards are nice too. conservatories are like microwave ovens here but they're fab in england (as long as they aren't naff ones). i like to have alot of plants inside the house - cannabis preferably LOL.

i think your home is so important as a reflection of who you are. unfortunately, i'm renting at the moment although hoping to move soon cos it's not a good vibe when you don't feel at home in your home.

all the scorps i know are actively interested in interior design. 🙂

two things i've always wanted for my home are :

a totem pole. not just a token totem pole but a huge fuck-off one crafted by the hands of authentic north-american indians. i've wanted one since i was about 10.

a pulpit. you know the ones you find in churches which are quite elaborately carved in wood. i want one to use as a jardiniere for a cannabis plant (what else) - an artistic juxtaposition......religion and weed LOL!!!

Oooooo I love love love the dark bathroom with the claw footed tub!!! And the room with the books!!

My house is "cozy" but Aries says it's too dark. LOL I have alot of reds and blacks and mustard golds. I love old worldly stuff. I have a few novelty Egyptian statues and old Arabic purfume bottles in deep reds. I like Victorian furniture. My bed is my pride and joy. It's a huge 4 poster cherrywood. I like dim lighting and silky satiny fabrics. I also love velvets and plush (Taurus rising). I hate the contemporary look. It's so .... uninviting.
I have a thing for globes too. It's so odd that just yesterday I noticed I have a lot of globes. Hmmm ....

🙂 I spluge alot. I've been interested in furniture since I was young though so I've gotten alot of it for bdays and Christmas gifts. My oval cherrywood mirror, my cherrywood oval mirrored vanity and my fainting bench were all gifts from my mom🙂 She loves that stuff too.
I hate clutter too but in a weird way my house isn't cluttered. It all just looks "right". LOL
Oh!! I like little table fountains and odd little goldfish bowls too. I think that's the water in me 🙂 I have a cute little goldfish bowl that has a statue of a bronze kitten that is looking down into the bowl and sticking it's paw in the water. Its really cute but it cost me a ton! I don't put fish in them though. Just colorful rocks and crystals.

Fantastic pictures Satori..I can't pick a favourite but there are some great ones..the darker the better...

Well at least we scorps have cohesive taste in decor...Everything GScorp described is mostly what I already have..I prefer rustic oak..the darker the better..Cherrywood is nice also..but it has to be dark and not shiny..

Oooh how exciting..love interior design...coordinating and complimentary designs..
