Powerful water women

I posted this on the Cancer and Pisces threads but wanted to get all water perspective.
I am and have been always interested/fascinated with politics. I was thinking this week about some of the front runners they think will run for the Democrats next election and I noticed the two they keep talking about are water women. Hillary Clinton is a Scorpio and Elizabeth Warren is a Cancer. I was watching a special on George Bush and knew he was a Cancer male but I did not realize that his wife Laura Bush was a Scorpio. I also looked at Condoleezza Rice's birthday (an important woman in his presidency) and she is a Scorpio as well. Apparently George Bush has a thing for Scorpio women ; ) I have not found an important Pisces female that I can think of so anybody who can think of one in politics let me know (hopefully soon I will be one of those important Pisces women as I hope to run in politics at some point in my life) Another political favourite of mine Kyrsten Sinema is a Cancer female.
It made me wonder though what is it about us water women that we have lately made such a mark in the politics world and have gotten so much power and rise in the media? People seem to love us, at least from a prospective leadership standpoint. Also, can any of you think of any other famous water women in leadership roles or politics?
Wow you are cynical. I don't really believe that at all but such is life, people don't always agree or you could be a troll in which case I'll ignore you now.
Whether you think they are worthless or not the fact of the matter is they are powerful and obviously people like them and trust them enough to keep electing them or giving them said power. Then name to me powerful water women in the private sector if you don't think politicians have any value. I pointed them out because they are prominent in media and news. Somebody also pointed out to me Angela Merkel who is Cancer from Germany so it does not have to be American politicians, or is it just all politicians you don't like?

Sorry...the vast majority of American politicians are spineless pawns who's only aspiration is to live off the backs of taxpayers and collect freebies from lobbyists. So you haven't really proven anything here, unfortunately.
The most powerful minds (male and female) work in the private sector.

sadly agree w rabbit.
however, to add to your point - elizabeth cady stanton was a scorpio - she was susan b anthony's partner in crime and very influential in the women's rights movement. she's a bad ass.

One thing I do know...if I were to have gotten into politics, I'd be assasinated/shot within the first year. Apparently whistleblowing is not tolerated in D.C.Sad
Don't know what's worse, the corrupt smucks in office, or the cowards who sit back, watch and allow it.

That being said, BTW, if your truly interested in politics and want to make a difference, get into local politics. That's where the real differences in people's lives can be made and where you will likely meet a greater number of people that truly care.

That's how it starts out, but the bottom line and result is a fatter wallet. GREED
From two historic politicians:
Whenever a man has cast a longing eye on offices, a rottenness begins in his conduct. ~Thomas Jefferson
Politics is supposed to be the second-oldest profession. I have come to realize that it bears a very close resemblance to the first. ~Ronald Reagan
I do think I have what it takes to be in politics. I am not a very "watery" Pisces. I was born on the Pisces/Aries cusp (I know a lot of people don't believe in cusps but I do) so I have the best and worst of both worlds. I am very intuitive and somewhat spiritual, love the arts but then I have been told I am way more outspoken and forceful than most Pisces people have encountered. I don't know if it is my chart or upbringing or both? I have a Gemini Asc. Sag. Moon and a Taurus Mars. Other parts of my chart are quite fiery and earthy so I have a good combo of the spectrum. I was trained in business and have a long history with marketing and customer service so I have a good grasp of human nature and know how to get a message out to mass amounts of people. It is a mutable sign yes and I am very flexible but stick to my principles, make sure I know what and why I believe what I believe by backing it up with research, life history and part intuition.
There are a lot of reasons I want to get into politics. I have since I was little been fascinated with politics and government. I love seeing how a society works, different kinds of leaders and their effect on people, and know how well a functioning government does for an economy.
1. I would like to see campaign reform. I think if we have this part of what rabbit pointed out about picking between the lesser of two evils would be better. We were not supposed to be a two party system. Quite a lot of the people who formed this country warned against letting the country become a two party system because you lose that variety that is essential for a well rounded government. In the past few decades there have been politicians leaving a career in politics warning against how bad campaign finances have gotten with large companies influencing candidates. People and the media have began to figure out how bought a lot of the people are in Congress. One person I follow a lot in politics is Kyrsten Sinema. In her state when she started out running locally they had lawns on campagin reform that allowed for smaller people like her to run and have some clout even though they may not have a lot of funds/backing from companies. If you could have that nationally the people from lesser known parties could have a chance or at least change things up a bit.
2. Education reform... We have some of the best if not the best universities in the world. Our secondary education system on the other hand has become a joke. Thomas Jeffe
Noooo! I had a whole lot more written and it cut me off. Let me go get some coffee and I'll write the rest, frustrated atm.
Ok here it goes. Probably have lost you all by now and bear with me if I haven't once you hit on something I am passionate about I can get on a roll. I quickly learned to copy before I post!
Thomas Jefferson wrote about how important it is to have a citizen base which is well rounded and has equal opportunity for said education. I am sick of having face palm moments when I talk to my foreign friends or people online who tell me they love their study abroad in the US. It was like a vacation for them. They don't have bubble sheet tests where they are from. I should not be hearing it was easy! I want to hear it was challenging. With the job market now as well as the future it will be heavily based in sciences but the emphasis in science is nowhere near where it needs to be in our schools. We are also now a "global" country. We can no longer get by knowing just one language. We need people graduating with a good understanding of sciences, computers/programming and foreign languages. Along with that I would like to promote travel at a younger age. In Canada, UK, Australia and New Zealand is it common and often expected to take a "gap year" to travel abroad and work. It gives you greater understanding of the world, gives you time to see what you want to do and gives you confidence that comes along being away from home. I would love to see international travel promoted more and a better network of hostels in the US.
3. Unemployment/disability/welfare reform. Would it not make more sense while people are in these programs to train them in something the market needs? Most of the time people are on unemployement or welfare for long because they cannot find jobs because they are not trained for the right ones. What little amount of money we would spend training them in comparison to how much money they would be then paying into the system employed is better in the long run rather than sitting taking money out of the system. I would like to see eco friendly co op government housing. At least if people are going to be on assisted living we could make it work for us and be a more positive experience rather than what for example the projects look like. With housing that has renewable energy we could make money back by selling energy to the energy companies. Co op housing would also provide a support system for families who would otherwise be isolated and would provide closer to home role models or daycare.
I think if you take care of the first two a lot of thing
I think if you take care of the first two a lot of things would change. If you had a citizen base with a greater understanding of its own country and how its government functions you would not be as easily influenced by the media channels. It is no secret what sides of politics Fox News and MSNBC follows, yet for some people these are their only sources they go to. When you don't have a clue what is going on because you were not taught well, is it not easier to go to the news sites who seem like they know whats going on? At least the companies think they know whats going on but a majority of Americans do not understand the fact these channels are politically influenced by the companies who own them.
Eventually I would like to become an ambassador. I love traveling and learning about other cultures. Getting paid to travel and live in another country would be ideal. Granted I know it would be a lot of hard work keeping good relations and problem solving between different governments, but is that not what women do on a regular basis? Try to keep the peace and solve her family's problems? Men think they have the power, but when they come home who has the real power? : p
Is it ambitious? Yes. Will I accomplish it all? Probably not, but I have learned from marketing and life if you make a ripple in the water eventually it spreads to more and more people who talk about it, think about it and incorporate it into their lives. Example, The Human Rights Campaign. If you could have told me back in the 90's that we would be seeing states just within the next decade allowing gay marriage and making laws protecting glbt workers I would have thought you were crazy. In just a decade by slowly but surely getting their message to people, having people grow up with their message it has changed and taken off like wildfire.
Sorry that was so long, people probably won't read it all and that's fine. This thread took on a different life than I thought it would but I like it, you all made me think!
Sorry last one, I do realize how easy it is for people to drink the DC water and become corrupt by it. I strive in my life to surround myself with people who will call me on my bs, who I can be mutually supportive with, and who will humble me if I get carried away. I have a feeling I'll get to Congress and realize they really are all crazy but then I can join other aspects of politics or government.
And about the Scorpio woman mentioned, I had not heard of her before so thank you for bringing her to my attention!
Rabbit intrigues me.....
Why did you hide your message MoonMan?
Well I have a 1014 am BT I believe. The sites I have gone to tell me I have a Gemini asc. I was supposed to be born early April but was premature born March 20 1987 don't know if that has anything to do with it. I def have the sensitivity and spiritual nature of Pisces but the older I get the more life experience I have the more I seem at first an Aries. I have a warriors spirit I have been told. I get along better with water signs and some earth as a water sign should and even my air and fire friends have watery charts. Like if you are Cancer we will find each other in the crowd and get along immediately. My friend/supervisor who is Cancer told me she likes it when I am at work because I calm her. Idk it is weird I get on with the signs I should but then feel so fiery sometimes

I have not found an important Pisces female that I can think of ...

...that's because there aren't any, weren't any, and there probably will not ever be any. There have been some famous ones, of course. However they never made any important decisions, discoveries or done really anything of any great significance.

Thomas Jefferson was ALSO the first U.S. President to propose the idea of a formal "Indian Removal" plan, including the displacement of Indians by starvation ( killing all buffalo ) lethal force ( including kiling of woman and children )... in order to gain access to the land they were legally given years before ... after it was determined that there was gold on their land. ( Why else do you think it got so nasty?)
Andrew Jackson is often erroneously credited with initiating the Indian Removal Act, because Congress passed the Indian Removal Act during his presidency in 1830 and also because of his personal involvement in the forceful extermination and removal of many tribes. But ...Jackson was merely legalizing and implementing a plan laid out by Jefferson in a series of private letters that began in 1803.

I think you're right... but do you still want to be an ambassador?
