When someone says you can't do something or can't have something(not talking major purchase here)or they dare you to do something, how do you react?

Karima27..nothing in general...rather just wondering how it makes you feel. Do you think to yourself 'Oh ya watch me'!! or 'you tell me I can't do this, well I'll show you'. Do you retaliate and prove whoever wrong? Or do you just let it go?

Usually if it is nothing dangerous "I" am more along the lines of "I'll show you"-I like proving a point...I hate to be challenged and told I can't do something. Big No-No
I try not to fall into "I Dare You" situations...those can be dangerous. Whether good or bad.

"When someone says you can't do something or can't have something(not talking major purchase here)or they dare you to do something, how do you react?"
It has absolutely no effect on me.

"We start controlling everything around us...Dares would leave too much room for disappointment and public attention, so we will pretend like the dare is childish and stupid..."
Or maybe we just don't like being blatantly manipulated?

Yes and no,if they know they could kick your ass at something it probably won't effect them or maybe they simply may think its stupid and not even worth wasting time on.However if its something they may be interested in your looking at a very stubborn competiter.Like okay some examples are:Hey go get that dudes phone number-may be viewed as stupid cause what does it prove?Second one:Maybe you tell em they'd suck at doing this type of job at work-you may have them repond to that one.So it depends on what your proving.
