- Never sit with your back facing the door.
- If it ain't broke, it's okay to try and enhance it.
- Treat others the way you would like to be treated (as opposed to treating others the way they treat you).

"You must do the thing you think you cannot do." Eleanor Roosevelt

I'll tell you, the first rule I took from Malcolm X. He said he never ever sat with his back facing a door. He also said he didn't respect those who were not punctual. From then on, I made it a point to be mindful of the time. lol
The second is mine. I believe in always reaching for higher heights, and that the journey toward betterment of self never ends. I realize I'm not alone in this philosophy.
The third I got from my mom. She tries to be fair to everyone.
""Whatever becomes of this country, we deserve it.""
omg, i was thinking the exact same thing. you read my mind (again).
i think it's a joke. one big practical joke. joke's on us. hopefully...
and then they wonder why the rest of the world thinks we're all dumb, obese, lethargic McDonald's lovers.
Therez no Gold Standard - so watch out for the next truth.

"In order to get the rainbow, you must first endure the rain"
My former teacher's quote Big Grin
"Nobody cares, do it for yourself".
This was quoted in a creative sense, which is how I apply it practically.

It's TRUE! Works every time. After I fight down that scorp rising urge for revenge...
Okay, so maybe I've set a few people's belongings on fire...but I always forgave them later...smile
