Scorpio and romance = apple and tuna?
Mine was there for me when my Mum died recently. We'd been out briefly last year, it hadn't worked out, but the vibes were beginning again... He knew my oven was broken, and when he heard about my Mum he asked me over 'so he could cook' for me.
He cooked for me, then held me close for two hours - no demands, just silent caring.
That was pretty romantic. And we're together now; he's growing me some herbs so he can make me a herb garden... Actually I find that pretty romantic too. He has very little money (tough but underpaid job) and it has taken him a long time to believe that I don't really care about that. We're not at a stage of life where I want him to be the Earner...

well, that last 2 sentences of yours give me some hope. Don't want a bf that is too mushy...but it would be nice to get surprises once in a while.

Being in a stable relationship should be enough. Believe it or not Scorps don't like drama (or I don't). When I'm in a comfortable routine I'm in heaven. Comfortable=stable and that means I'm trusting the other person enough to relax and I'm in it for the long haul.
Flowers, breakfast in bed ... all that jazz is nice but a little shallow no? We'll be there when the going gets tough, stand by your side when the world is against you, go to the ends of the earth if asked ... that is how we show our love. Perhaps we just assume you know that because we are there night and day.

I know Satori. I've never understood when people break up because it got too routine or too boring. Is a few flowers and simple little gestures really going to be the make it or break it in a relationship? Seriously? That's really outragously hard for me to understand.
I've gotten flowers here and there and I always though "oh that's nice" but it never made a huge impact on me. It's the little things like watching a movie together snuggled on the couch and being able to look over and know that person is here sharing this moment with you. Comfortable and relaxed. It makes me feel so secure and grateful which makes me feel love/devotion.

I personally don't think I'm romantic. Well I don't see myself as romantic. I don't have a set romance package that I use on women. I go with the flow and follow my instinct, intuition, inspired by my partner's nature. I don't know if my exes would say the same. I can say I'm poetic on the way I speak though. I'm soft spoken, simple and calm. I try to please my partner always but I go according to her nature. So the way I was when dating Scorpio wasn't the same as with Taurus, Virgo or Leo. I write poems and I often wrote special poems for them on the spot. They liked it. I think one of my best piece was written to a Leo. I'll post it for a few minutes and then hide it for privacy. I made it part of my personal collection that I'll use later on and I would like to keep it that way. I'll unhide by request it's not a problem but I won't just leave it on the open. I think it's really a nice poem.

I think that's mostly what it is. I speak more about love on message boards, off the internet I tend to just love. It shows in my actions towards my partner. I hug, cuddle and caress more than I speak. As you said if you stick around eventually it may come out little by little to where you'll end up knowing but I don't think it will ever be an extravagant display right at the beginning.

I think Scorpios are aware of what others mean by romance, I just think perhaps for them it's... dunno, almost superficial? I think years ago I would have found this quite difficult to 'get' but now I just love it. I love the peace and calm at the heart of the storm. Just after my Mum had died, I woke in the middle of the night crying. I absent-mindedly said, "I could really do with a cup of tea." He went downstairs (in the freezing cold!) and made me a cup of tea - at 4am. Despite me telling him it could wait...
Last year, when it didn't work out, he told me very seriously, "You need more than I can give you - you need someone with the money to wine and dine you and bring you flowers..." So perhaps that's something he'd do if he had the money. But what's more romantic than growing me a herb garden?
We seem to be in that happy place where Scorpio and Virgo calm each other's souls. The other night we lay on the couch and watched TV and he fell asleep in my arms. I've never seen him so relaxed. And he told me the next day that after I'd left he went to bed, fell asleep and woke in the same position after the best night's sleep he's had in years.

V, I'm Sag Moon and Scorpio Rising as well! Just give yourself time... I have known that restlessness in relationships. It sucks sometimes, doesn't it? But take time for YOU. Go out to quiet country places, acknowledge the restlessness in your spirit and then dig deeper and Be Still and feel the peace underneath it all. For me, my restlessness used to dominate my character until I realised that even deeper, there was a calm river flowing.

This might even be your own Scorpio part creating drama. But more worryingly, you are talking about needing to be blamed in order to deal with your guilt. That's not HIS job, it's yours. Seek help if you can't shake guilt. Don't look to him to solve what's inside your own head. As for going off and seeking excitement, well you can do that can't you? You don't have to be joined at the hip! Go off (with his agreement), have adventures and then come back, snuggle up and tell him about them...

Oooo is chart as a lot of "laid back intensity" going on. Scorp, Cap, and Virgo. All my favs of the zodiac. If he had an Aries rising I'd fight ya for him 😛 Sheesh. He sounds pretty dreamy to me. You're a lucky girl. He's probably more proned to be the serious type with the earth in his chart and let's face it.... Scorps are stoned faced alot too.
From his chart I can say that he doesn't show alot of affection in the commercial sense. It's deeper then that. Buying things, being cheesy, and over the top are something that he probably frowns on. Too cliche.

Maybe this is miniscule but once I was with my Scorp and a few friends. We were going into the subway to take the train (walking down the steps) and I realized I don't have a MetroCard. So I screamed out at my boyfriend, "Babe.... you got me?" and he turned around (at the bottom of the steps) with his arms wide open and goes of course babe! LOL
He was ready to catch me, but I just needed a swipe. It was a natural reaction from him and it showed me that he really does care for me. I thought it was adorable. =)

I dont know whats going on with my scorp....we hit it off... he was calling and we were hanging out..laughing and just totally vibing....he finally opened up and invited me to his home ..he is a single dad..I methis kids. He would leave expensive jewerly and things out..I guess testing me.. he would let me have access to the house...he finally came out of his comfort zone and came to my house,,,Im so falling for him. he is perferct...and then he disappeard..no calls, no tex..no nothing...I worked up enough nerves to go to his house without calling..I thought he would flip out..I didnt care, I just wanted to know what was going on... he answered the door and was calm, and loving...said he was just busy and had been out of town...(might I add, he has never told me what he does for a living.) he says I have plenty time to find out.. I said in my fun, loving, silly but desperate voice...ummmm...did you dump me? he gave me a sexy smile and said "no...just been out of town" so he hugged me. made sure I had his number...repeated it 3 times and I went on way.
So now I just wait....it's driving me crazy....So I start dating and hangin out more with my friends..pretty much going on with my life...but I dont undersatnd...the silent treatment..but I'll wait...by the way Im a Sagg.

probably its the aries rising and cancer moon, am pretty romantic, and this is what people i have dated, have told me.. getting flowers, cooking a surprise dinner/bfast, gifts out of the blue, long letters, some sexy lingerie and such like...well thats what i do.
but i find, being just curled up watching a movie together, or having a long conversation into the night, a lazy walk in the evening, a non reason hug, a quiet easy drink together are probably the things i find more romantic... Guess, we also love the fact that we have the "we would be there for ya, let the sky fall on our heads" attitude.. (secretly). We are often proud to be in love, cause we believe that we got the best woman.
And once we get her, we think, "well, i shall be there for her , through ups and downs, through the most trying of times, and what more could she want".. and then we sit back and enjoy the quiet afterglow of the burning embers in the fire place (oh did i mention that we just made love to you on that rug on the floor...).
And probably, you, who wants some more fun and jazz in the relationship, might not see that we are by nature quiet and laid back when we are happy and satisfied... and might wonder if we really really love ya so?.. well we do, else we wouldnt be with you, we would also at times make your life miserable..if we arent happy enough.
and to be honest, i used to be a more closed up person.... but i believe that like someone mentioned, we scorps love to heal ourselves and others... and the key to healing at times is opening up... and now that i have realized it, am more comfortable doing spontaneous stuff.. Probably we scorps hold back quite a bit, but he can reason... so explain in the kindest of ways without hurting his feelings (remember, he thinks you are happy as hes).. and he would understand.
Oh and we love the chase, knowing ya... inside out.. once we know ya well, and once we can control you, at times the mystery in "you" might wane.. and we might become a tad restless.. but if a scorp is sure about ya, then be sure you have more than just mystery in those eyes. 🙂 A content scorp, in my opinion is a keeper.

reason for this question is that his room is in such a mess (dusty,dirty,untidy) there's no way i'm having sex in a room like that. so how do i tell him that? make him get that, i can't have sex with him in a room like that...i hate going to his house and his room and he constantly invite me there. i'm running out of excuse not to go to his place. his housemate's room is sooooo much better, i wish i'm his gf instead.

Wow I never find this in the two scorp men I have known quite the opposite. VERY romantic, expresses their feelings and definitely proclaims his love and his feelings freely.

V, i guess just ask him directly... "are you happy with us"? Hold him frm behind , peck his neck when hes comfy, and explain why ya wanna know. Ask him if something has changed,, but without sounding too clingy.... but just warm 🙂.
And i guess he should tell you...he is usually honest, and at times brutally so. (this is relative, but some genuine warmth and just the feeling of unconditional love should prompt a scorp to open up). And if you want to make it work with a scorp, be game to take the brutal direct truth. We make life miserable in the sense that we would probably remind you, subtley and otherwise about things that arent right with you (the brutal truth again!).. We might ignore you in a very weird way, in a way that you cant put a finger to it... well lotta games we play.
About his place... well i dunno how close you both are in that sense, i mean, does he hate it when you ask him to do a chore with that "falsetto" anger? Well if no, go ahead and be the master 😉... He would obviously be hurt a tiny teeny bit, but i guess if hes really into you, he shouldnt have an issue. I guess we like things clean, and tidy and with some order, but the thing is when it gets back to being dirty we are at times too lazy (or cannot be bothered) to get it set again. May be you could suggest that you clean up the place together... just to get him going.. spill some water on the bed and the floor accidently so that he will have to clean up.. and then in most cases he would do the whole place. And we do a job really well, so once initiated, he should be good at it.
Once clean, ask him to keep it that way, and tell him why. tell him you would love it on his bed, more often... provided he keeps the place this way (squeaky clean).

probably its the aries rising and cancer moon, am pretty romantic, and this is what people i have dated, have told me.. getting flowers, cooking a surprise dinner/bfast, gifts out of the blue, long letters, some sexy lingerie and such like...well thats what i do.
but i find, being just curled up watching a movie together, or having a long conversation into the night, a lazy walk in the evening, a non reason hug, a quiet easy drink together are probably the things i find more romantic... Guess, we also love the fact that we have the "we would be there for ya, let the sky fall on our heads" attitude.. (secretly). We are often proud to be in love, cause we believe that we got the best woman.
And once we get her, we think, "well, i shall be there for her , through ups and downs, through the most trying of times, and what more could she want".. and then we sit back and enjoy the quiet afterglow of the burning embers in the fire place (oh did i mention that we just made love to you on that rug on the floor...).
And probably, you, who wants some more fun and jazz in the relationship, might not see that we are by nature quiet and laid back when we are happy and satisfied... and might wonder if we really really love ya so?.. well we do, else we wouldnt be with you, we would also at times make your life miserable..if we arent happy enough.
and to be honest, i used to be a more closed up person.... but i believe that like someone mentioned, we scorps love to heal ourselves and others... and the key to healing at times is opening up... and now that i have realized it, am more comfortable doing spontaneous stuff.. Probably we scorps hold back quite a bit, but he can reason... so explain in the kindest of ways without hurting his feelings (remember, he thinks you are happy as hes).. and he would understand.
Oh and we love the chase, knowing ya... inside out.. once we know ya well, and once we can control you, at times the mystery in "you" might wane.. and we might become a tad restless.. but if a scorp is sure about ya, then be sure you have more than just mystery i
