Scorpio Man - Vanishes

Ok so I just got a message by a guy that I used to hang out with a lot. We did everything together he even told me that he was falling in love with me. Needless to say he just up and decides not to speak to me again. Even after all that he said about how he fell in love, even thought about marriage. He vanishes. A year later he comes back telling me how much he still cares for me. If he cared why did he never try to contact me after all this time? So we talked and we smoothed things over. Then I guess being the Gemini that I am said what the hell and started talking to him again. And guess what happened? He told me he just couldn't be there for me in the way I wanted and vanishes again.

Now hes back today. Im pretty upset about it. I thought I would come here and see what kind of advice everyone has about Scorpios. Ive never been involved with one before, just an occasional romp. But now this guy has been saying he loves me and needs me back in his life. This is after a three month span of not talking. I remember the last time I spoke with him I tore him a new one. I was so treetrunking mad. I asked him why he didnt call or contact me. He said he really didn't have an answer. I told him it was bull butter and he should be happy that I am even entertaining him now.

What is this? Do Scorpios like to hurt others? I did NOTHING wrong to him yet he keeps vanishing. I asked him if there was someone else he was interested in. That wasn't the case. Hes just too busy or doing something else.

To answer your question on the title. A Scorpio would disappear when ... well many possibilities...
- feel the needs for their own little space
- unsure how to deal with a particular matter or situation
- timeout to calm them down before they were going to ... sting someone
- a break to think more clearly and making plan for the next step/s
- when thing/s too much to them, hidden themselves instead of going to poison or hurt someone emotional
- when thing/s frightened them, disappear for their sake
- when thing/s not interesting to them anymore
- when they don't want problem/s come to them again
- and when they got hurt... deep hurt...
In the end, would they be back, depending on situation and characteristics of different Scorpios. Back or not... I believe at this point more depend on the situation. For whatever the sign that person was born under, if thing/s still interesting him/her of course he/she will find the way to be back.

Tell him to Ef off! He has shown his colors. He will do his vanish again, lame, selfish no one is worth that bullshit. Find a man who can be a man. This "I need to vanish" for weeks or what ever? Is flat out disrespectful and pathetic. Everyone needs their own space at times, but at the expense of someone else's feelings? Really? Run. Find a man who has his shit together, this man you speak of is a loser. His sign has nothing to do with it.

Aw Elle, It's big of you to admit it. I am currently reconsidering another round with a scorp who has vanished and returned in the past. Not sure if I can endure the possibility of it in future. If you've got any advice on how to prevent it, please share. It seems I need an act of congress to get this man to trust me.
