Scorpio Men Retreat, Too??

I've noticed quite a few posts on this Board complaining that Scorpio Men "retreat" after coming on strong; or withdraw for no known reason...
Virgo Men get accused of that all the time...
So, is it a similar behavior, but with different causes??
"Scorpio Men "retreat" after coming on strong; or withdraw for no known reason..."
Yeah...they're just moody bastards.

So...
Virgo Men retreat to think & analyze; Scorpio Men retreat to sulk??

My Scorp Brother doesn't retreat, either. He's just a hunka hunka burnin' love that burns out after a couple of years! (Been married 5 times now!)
"My Scorp Brother doesn't retreat, either."
I doubt those 5 ex-wives would be of the same opinion smile
lol
*giggles*
Scorp men retreat to analyze a situation as well. To regroup and keep those wild emotions in tact, until he is sure he can let them go!
""never heard a guy call another man a hunka hunka burnin love before
brother or not""

lmao!

TAC: "never heard a guy call another man a hunka hunka burnin love before"
He's a Big Elvis Fan, and the Ladies would agree with that description!
QS: "Scorp men retreat to analyze a situation as well."
So... does that support the notion that Virgo & Scorpio were once the same Sign??
S-I-L: "It sometimes gets misinterpreted as moodiness, brooding, or anger."
Uh... you tryin' to tell me something??
Anyway, why do Virgs get the bad wrap for retreating, yet Scorps are dark & mysterious for their withdrawals?? It just ain't fair...
"...referred to themselves as some sort of Secret Scorpio Society to take over the world."
I Knew It!! Be afraid y'all, be very afraid!!
"Our all-Scorpio soccer team is a subset of that original group."
Choosing a Team Captain must be like Mad Max in Thunderdome!!

"...scorps are mysterious, deep thinkers..."
Nope! Wrong! Scorps are Feelers, Virgs are Thinkers. Scorps feel about thinking the way Virgs think about feeling...

Otherwise... we're essentially the Same Sign -- makes for a near-perfect match (in my experience)... I believe S-I-L would agree...

:: Ooooooooooo... I can feel the love percolating up from those Plutonian depths!! ::

It's OK Roxi - take solace in the fact that you're not Married To It!!
:: Big Sh1t-Eatin' Grin ::
*Actually, that little tidbit was intended for another pair of Virgo eyes?there are three more dxpers in varying stages of Scorp/Virgo development! Spring is in the air and love is in bloom...*
Possibly four... I am still really confused and being a Virgo, probably imagining he's thinking about it all more than I am. I have no reason to think he *doesn't* like me. Some to think he does. And then this darned disappearing act going on.
Is this a part of the beginning of relationships that Scorpios actually enjoy, or is it simply how it is?
Or is it the end of the thing I think might be beginning?
Sheesh! Thank goodness for my Scorpio Rising... lol
My Virgo friend and I think we're soooo much alike. We are, sorta.

Roxi: "...marriage to a scorpio woman is like a slow, torturous cremation..."
Indeed! My prayer is that I burn forever with my immortal beloved - like She Who Must Be Obeyed and her reincarnated lover - in that flame that never dies...
(As a young Virg, I loved Ursula Andress in that starring role... but, what red-blooded young male wouldn't??)

S-I-L: "he greatly appreciates my ?kinetic stability.?
Can I use that expression? It is so appropriate for my Scorp, too!

Shaka: "...I prefer my air/fire sign friends..."
That's cool. I can be on friendly terms with just about anyone from any Sign; but, I can't imagine forming a serious bond with Air or Fire folks because I often find them unreliable - I made an exception with LibraEX (and we see where that went!), and while I don't regret it, I can imagine that choosing an Earth or Water Girl way back when would've been more harmonious / less tumultuous...

Roxi [on marriage]: "it is the graveyard of all your happiness dyr!"
But... the grass is pretty and green over the graves, and well-maintained. The trees are healthy and pruned. There is dignity in the peace & quiet of the long slumber. A Virgo can be content in such an environment...
***I know that many Scorps do not like to being interrupted with constant telephone calls. Most screen calls at home with the intention of returning calls at a set time during the evening. The failure to answer a cell or text messages may look like retreating/hiding when in reality it may be a Scorpion trying to stick to a daily schedule or catch up on pressing business. ****
Okay, okay, I admit I do this... Now the cat is outta the bag. Ironically, I find even if my scorp friend is busy, he answers and says that and that he will call me back. He always does.

He either likes you and his emotions are surpassing his intention or he doesn't. Once He sorts it out and is sure he is ready to persue you, he will haunt you down... Never give you air, he will become joint at your hip!!! LOL!!! Nah, but he won't disappear that is for sure.

WernerOne: "ever met a fully developed and confident virgo??"
Guilty - as charged! And, I have the good fortune to have one as a Dad, and to work with two more... Bonus!
As for this thread... Once again, perception is everything. Retreat behavior is retreat behavior, and yet folks perceive it differently for one Sign versus another....

QS,
We have caller ID, and when Debra's not in a mood to talk to a particular person, she simply won't answer the ring -- and will wave me off it when I go to pick up. I don't do that myself -- I'll always answer, and I'll tell the caller if I don't have time to talk.
I don't feel obligated to answer my phone. One of the reasons being, I'm not a phone person. With this being the new cell phone age, everyone feels that they must be able to reach you at all times- no excuses. A mindset that makes me uncomfortable.

"I don't feel obligated to answer my phone."
Good for you! But Virgo is the Service Sign, and answering a phone call meets our minimum criteria for social obligations...
Oh, lookie...

Someone's deciding to be civil today. Where's your sidekick(s)?
