Scorpio woman and Leo Man - how does this work?

I met a Leo guy a couple of months ago. I was not overly attracted to him, but he had something about him that got me. Got to know him, we had so much fun. Told me he loved me way to early in the getting to know you stage. We are both over 40, so we are not young, not that that makes us smarter...lol.

Thought things were going good and about the time I decided I would try the relationship thing with him he pulled back.

He told me of issues in his past, divorce, drinking, DUI's, problems problems problems. Says he has to square his life away before he can get in to a committed relationship. His words, not mine. Says he has a two year plan to get back on his feet, wants to own a home and be able to support his partner before getting in to a relationship. I don't want to be a friend with benefits, I am too old and that is just not where I am with my life.

I think I need to give him the boot and move on. Wrong guy at the wrong time. Interested in hearing what others say.

So you are ready for a relationship after a couple of months of dating the guy. Don't you think you are moving to fast. You never stepped into the friend stage yet. You don't know him well enough to even want a relationship so soon. I think you need to slow it down be is friend and if you don't want to have FWB that is find but you can still be his friend and see how it goes if he does not want to be friends without sex then of course move on.

I would frist repect the fact that he told you about his past life and where he trying to go. Sounds like a man that has a plan.

I have never dated a leo before and I don't know how they are but if a man told me what he is working towards I would respect that more than be mad at him and ready to move on becuase he was honest enough to tell me he is not ready for a relationship.

I think the reality of what a relationship means caused him to back off, I dont think he's playing around! He's listed all the plans he has to progress so the ball is in your court whether you continue a friendship or not. However, I personally would get to know him as a friend first!
