Scorpios harder on lovers than on friends?

Is this true? Why or why not? My Scorpio was literally abandoned by a buddy of his at an event that the buddy invited him to. And by "abandoned," I mean, the friend went home and did not tell my bf until he noticed his friend was missing, called his cell and found out the guy just decided to leave! My Scorpio griped to me about it, with good reason, but I found out later that he called the guy later and just made small talk without bringing up the mishap. He took that as a "we're cool" sign and all is well.

But whenever I do something, I get the deep freeze with no quarter. Apparently, I hurt his feelings with a joking comment I made. He stormed out of my apartment, literally, but not first without dramatically grabbing up all of the things of his that he could find and stuffing them in a bag. We've since talked and I apologized for hurting his feelings, but he's still pissed at me.

I don't get it. Me and this particular friend have both been "around" about the same number of years, but I notice this with him and a lot of his friends - they will deliberately do something to anger or provoke him, he'll be mad, but he'll be the one to extend the olive branch. I inadvertantly tick him off, and I'm thrown to the wolves. Is it just me, or do Scorpios hold their significant others to a higher standard than their friends?

Yes, it's true, I am much harder on my mate than my friends.

Yes, I've found this to be true. My Scorp holds me to a higher standard than she does her Libra female best friend - even when I say or do something similar to the Libra, I get stung for it, and she doesn't... not fair at all!

But... maybe that's because Debra has let herself be 100% vulnerable with me, and I can hurt her more than anyone else...

Of course, a partner is harder on their SO than anyone else ... being a Scorpio has nothing to do to with this equation.

EVERY person is harder on their SO, than anyone else ... because this other person HAS conditions and terms to abide by that nobody else has to to maintain loyalty and faithfulness.

Let me ask you ... do you hold everybody accountible to nurturing how you feel like you do your man?

If your friend hurt your feelings, you would sulk, you might even cry .. but, you'd still be their friend and not hold it against them.

Let your man hurt your feelings ....... and hell hath no fury.


For fuck sake !!!!!!!! An SO is SUPPOSE to stand taller than anyone else when it comes to honoring you .. that's WHY they are your partner.

wtf is going on? Why would a person be upset because their partner holds them more accountible to nurturing their feelings than just any common friend?

April, this response, as with all responses to people .. are addressing behaviours of the poster themselves, and not thier partner.

Because you are now on a mission with me ... you will believe this response from me to her is about the partner, and what he does .. when in reality .. I'm addressing HER perspective of how SHE is viewing.

As I always do .. and I don't expect you to be able to recognize that because you have a target mind-set now, and that is where you will put your focus.

I don't. I cut my wife - and the other people in my life I care about most - a whole lot more slack than I do others, because I have a better awareness of who they are, and what they're going through...

FA: Eh, who the hell cares why they do it? They need to stop doing it is the point.

We care about the WHY because we love them. And because we love them, they can drive us crazy. But if we come to understand them, then we can help them, and maybe they'll ease up a little...

... that's the real point. (Especially if you're married to a Scorp!)

Wouldn't you hope that your S.O. looked at your intentions before judging your actions?

She knows my intentions. She knows my heart. Still, she judges me more harshly than others. It's part of her charm...

Scorpios are more deeply hurt by thier mate than their friends. You are his partner so h feels a little betrayed and is taking it harder than he would with just a buddy. You mean more to him.
