This is a Scorpio posting in the Scorpio forum so it's Scorpio related!

Anyone else here get senior sit discounts?

At 43, I do get them without asking.

Take Jack in the Box or Taco Bell - They discount the price of a drink, no questions asked.

I don't complain. I figure if they think I'm "old", then..., the "insult" is appreciated
with the discount.

I am reminded of the days when I was "underage" and was one our gang relied upon to
get the booze. I was 17 at the time. I NEVER got caught.
This is a practice I strongly recommend young people NOT to engage in.
If you're 26 years old and get carded, then show them your card. DON'T rely on some underage kid
to buy your booze for you.

when i use to work fast food, i didnt give the discount unless they asked for it. Some people get really offended

My mother's like that.
I think some people just don't like the thought that they are closer to the grave, not realizing that they
could die at any moment. Anyone can die at any moment. But as you get older, mortality may become a bit more
of a reality than when you're invincibly young. I think these people resent being reminded of their age and
faded physical beauty or vitality.

Some people, such as myself, are not really bothered by the age thing. On the other hand, there ARE areas in
life that have gotten away from me, but something else, seems to inevitably fill the void.

I will say this. One never knows how life is going to turn for them. One day they can be perfectly healthy
and be dead in a year's time. Happened to a friend of mine back in 2004. He was in far greater physical condition
than myself, but he died of pneumonia after about a year's bout with cancer.
