Some parts can be
I know I'm not a Scorpio but I'm going to answer anyway.
Pleasantville... pretty good (highly underrated) sappy movie... it gives you the feels smile
Devdas & VeerZara. These two make me cry every single time I watch them. They remind me a lot of one of my relationships hence the crying lol. Both are about meeting the right person at the wrong time.
In Devdas I cry at the part where Devdas is carrying Paro off to be married to another guy & both are crying because they love each other but their families are at odds so they werent allowed to marry each other. Devdas then became an alcoholic due to the stress of being without his love & he started vomiting blood. In his sick health, he took a train to the city where Paro now lives with her new husband & he died infront of her gate. Paro is seen running to him but her husband ordered the guards to quicky close the gates...she came very close to him before the gates shut. Both actors are Scorpios irl, btw. ShahRuk Khan is a scorp with aqua moon, I'm not sure about Aishwaria's moon though.
In VeerZara I cry at the part where Zara is preparing for her engagement party & she starts hallucinating about Veer, her lover, not the guy she is about to marry. She never met Veer again until they were both very old & were being reunited at last. Very touching scene & song. Again its ShahRuk Khan, a scorp & Preity Zinta, an aqua.
Penelope, with Christina Ricci and James McAvoy (swoon). The way it's filmed reminds me a bit of a Roald Dahl story, which I love smile
Becoming Jane.. Also with James McAvoy.
Last of the Mohicans
Jane Eyre

I really don't watch sappy movies.
I am more into science fiction or thrillers.
If i have said lord of the rings, you would have killed me Winking.

Lol! Kill you? No. Especially since I have yet to see the whole movie. I'm sure there are many moments that tug at the heart strings.

This sound good.
I'm watching Titanic right now....I didn't want to, but it sucked me in.
Below Zero- when the huskies get stuck in Antarctica?
Or any movies with animals that die- I am such a sap! The one with jennifer aniston and the dog- Marley & Me
Agree to Shawshank Redemption, Last of the Mohicans!
The Green Mile, A River Runs Through It, Fried Green Tomatoes, Beaches... Etc...
From the movie A Perfect Storm (2000) >
''Remember, Christina: I'll always love you; I loved you the moment I saw you; I love you now; and I love you forever. There's no goodbyes - there's only love, Christina; only love.''
This scene gets me everytime.

You need to see Phar Lap. Based on the true story of an Australian racehorse.

Believe me, it is more than good. The guy is an excellent actor, plus he is cute...well, to me he is. He likes playing emotional roles, there's one movie of his, Kal ho na ho where he plays a dying heart patient & he accidentally fell for this one girl. Knowing that he couldnt be with her due to his health problems, he then pushed his friend to be with the girl while he coached him on what to do/say...speaking from the heart. In a way he was living his dream through his friend. He died in the end & the two got married to honour him. This one makes me cry as well.
The Black Stallion. It's also my all time favorite.
Phar Lap
Water for Elephants
The Notebook
Cloud Atlas
What Dreams May Come
Sommersby
Brave

Speaking of John Cusack - Serendipity , awesome movie.
The Vow ... Omg good movie.
But hey, I can cry over a sappy commercial. Lmao
And how about Armageddon? That song is so incredible to me. I can't explain it but to say that it really moves me.

I saw The Vow yesterday for the first time and....yeah I have to say I thought it was pretty bad. Truth, I just don't like the "Magic Mike" guy.....too lazy to look up his name.
Mmmm magic mike was a fun movie. _??
@FixedWater, yeah the songs get me. It did it for me in Armageddon. Same with Titanic. I didn't shed a tear throughout the whole movie, but I lost it when I heard Celine singing the theme song. It's about to play in 15 minutes. I'm posting to keep myself distracted *get tissue ready*

Gawd no kidding get the tissues ready! I was a complete puddle throughout that movie. The end absolutely did me in. Her voice is unbelievable! The song etc. wow what a movie.

Haha! One of the most contentious Aussie vs. Kiwi arguments since the Pavlova smile Phar Lap was bred in Timaru, NZ but trained in Australia
But yep- I should watch it, and I've been told to watch War Horse too!
Blood Diamond
Blood diamond was unbelievable and how about 7 Pounds. Now if that movie doesn't make your cry like a baby, I don't think anything could.
I have never been able to watch Titanic again.
*you haha
Yeah 7 pounds was good too
Okay, "When Harry Meets Sally" is getting high ratings in this thread and I don't see it. This is not meant to be a critique of anyone's choice. We are touched by movies for different reasons, but I just don't get that one. It was one of my ex's favs and I just didn't like it.

Naw, 7 Pounds didn't make me cry. Sorry, but I enjoyed it a lot.

lol I know, but if he was raced, trained and owned in Australia then that makes him an Aussie with NZ roots. The owner was American, though.....so, does that change things?
Ghost
The Notebook
Quill: The Life of a Guide Dog
Forrest Gump
Bicentennial Man
Stepmom
Pay It Forward ....
Good movie, but it didn't really "move" me.
Quill: the life of a guide dog I've never watched or Phar Lap. I will have to watch those.
What about the one with the Husky Team ? Was that 8 Mile?
I cried (quietly so no one would notice lol) during Pay it Forward. The message was awesome.
I don't know, sorry. I actually hate dogs and just happen to come across Quill (nothing else to watch). I was pleasantly surprised. I found the movies I've enjoyed the most were the ones I had no plans in watching (Forrest Gump, Titanic, Love Actually...I was "forced" to watch them)

Yeah a good message (or moment) is what will get me every time. Bicentennial Man for example, not really a sad/sappy movie, but the overall message made me tear up at the very end.
A.I. ... the end is so bittersweet

I watched a show on the Science Channel on how they make maple syrup.
That's "sappy" as I get....

As sensitive as you is? Hmmmm...
Speaking of, I was watching a documentary on Cannibalism a few hours ago. Apparently some body parts would be used to sweeten stews.
Makes sense.

Um, do you mean the one with Emiem? No, I don't recall seeing any huskies in the trailer or the in the music studio lol.
Well, I can't speak on your wife, but the intention isn't to really watch it hoping to cry, it just happens. I mean I had no idea watching a movie about an alien was going to make me question life and what it means to be "alive", but there I was with a pint of chocolate ice cream and a box of tissue anyway.
I'm a sucker for tear jerkers. It might be because I HATE for anyone to see me cry when there's a reason for me to cry so I do whatever I can to hold it in. Movies give me an excuse to cry for someone else when I won't cry for myself.
Titanic and Forrest Gump are perfect examples. I had no idea what I would see when my girlfriend brought those over to watch one day. Titanic, yeah I knew the ship was gonna sink, but I've seen/ experienced a lot of tragedy in 4D at that point in my life, so a sinking ship want going to send me over the edge.
Forrest Gump, I wasn't even a fan of Tom Hanks at the time. I'm still not really, but in both cases I was moved more by the messages throughout the film. The emotional response is really a reaction to the messages and how much they make you reflect on your own life as you watch what is going on. At least it is for me. I'm always stuck in my head. Even when I'm watching a movie.
The Help, Chocolat, P.S, I Love You.
Sorry, my bad! it was 8 Below. I knew there was an 8 in the title.
Monsters inc. At the end when Boo meets Kitty again!
Up. The opening scene. Nuff said
P.S I Love You was an awesome movie! How about Sweet November.
@MoonArtist , are you the absolute best at crying silently? I am so good at that. I can't stand for anyone to see me cry either.
