Extreme Sports and Men

This topic was created in the Sports forum by lisabethur8 on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 and has 33 replies.
I don't know about women, but since men usually go for the aggressive, very high risk sports,

and a lot of them die, (many get into accidents) but if they do, they are out of commission which sucks for their career.

Now, this is a terrible thing if you get involved with men who are into extreme sports. It's a risk you are going to have to take...

would you as a woman, heterosexual, fall for a man who makes his living/career into high risk sports and knowing that one day ...he might get into a very bad accident that will take his limbs, or he will pass away unfortunately...

this is Jules bianchi,

he has a Stellium in LEO..... Leo rising, Leo sun, Leo moon, and Leo Mars.....Virgo venus. (that's ALOT of leo in personal planets)

User Submitted Image

that's the video of his crash.

and then there's this guy, Aries sun,Gemini moon/Virgo rising/ Gemini mars

he has a stellium in Gemini..

I'll make him stop Tongue
you have a boyfriend in a high risk career?
yes do make him stop.
It would be silly not to pursue a relationship with someone based on that. You can die just by crossing the road too.
my Libra rising won't allow this man to get into that career. you gals are safe with me.

Who's not looking, him or the driver? ?

I think I would feel more atracted than repulsed by men that like extreme sports. Dont know exactly why!

I was looking today for skydiving prices in Dubai, I hope this doesnt ruin my chances with men ?

Dunno. I dont see it as a high risk man. More as someone that likes adrenaline, challenges, the thrill.. the feeling of freedom that comes with it. To live that through them or with them sounds very appealing to me! smile

If they want a stay at home partner then be it. If they want company, I might - MIGHT - join. ?

ok..

I remember an article where David Beckham wanted to climb the high rise building with his friends, and Victoria Beckham wanted to stay in the car napping. lmao...

I can't find the article anymore, but if I find it. i'm gonna link it.

he's high risk in that he is into extreme sports and she's more low risk. lol

Not sure if I would rate football as an extreme sport ?

And Victoria seems a go getter lady, I dont see her staying at home baking cupcakes for the kids waiting for hubbie to come home. Even though they both as a couple seem very family oriented.

But I get your point Winking
No... I'd rather not.

Even dating a cop (not that I would want to)

seems too risky.

Yes, someone could get killed on regular day

but the odds are slimmer.

And typically, that extreme sport is about as

bad as a mistress... a third wheel.

No thanks.

Mr Aqua is/was an adrenaline junkie/high risk sports guy.

He was a semi-pro motocross racer as a kid, and after he was out he continued with off road biking until he crushed his foot between the foot pegs and a log. He has had many crashes, one which caused a 2 week coma. He switched to sport quads and continued to get in occasional minor crashes, one which separated his clavicle.

He also pioneered (with a few friends) a kite flying technique that they called "power lifting", where the person tethers themselves with rock-climbing gear between a buried pole and stacks of kites (up to 50) and let the wind pull you up. He often would get 25-30 feet above the ground. He would do this at kite flying festivals all up and down the coast, and the team was invited to fly at the New Mexico kite festival (they didn't go).

Neither of those things he does anymore because he's been hurt too many times and he's getting older. The injuries are catching up with him.

I let him do what he wants. He loves it, and it helped keep him in shape. I'm actually proud of the limits he's pushed.
@sultrykitty

Coincidence. I also briefly dated a motocross pilot ?

I dont think he had so many injuries as your Aqua. But he has plenty of scars. He doesnt need tattoos. Good for you for supporting his passions.

I wonder if there is a high correlation between high risk men and cheating. He cheated on her.

I was kidding by the way. I haven't dated a guy into extreme sports stuff. Usually they were just into the gym or football you know normal stuff.

my husband's cousin is a pro athlete and his woman is a stay at home, but she does like to play around sports with him before she had children. (children don't need aggressive mothers, they need nurturing ones) that's why the big difference.

and I never heard that about David Beckham. I think he is very loyal...he just needs to channel that aggressive energy.

yes. Aries Mars men I notice are assertively so into sports and work outs.

I saw that in our Pisces sun uncle....who is married to a Libra.. I thought huh?? when I saw this grey haired man with his bad-ass motorcycle. lol
also, this Aries mars man, who is Pisces sun, (he has sun/rising and moon sign as my first husband who was into extreme sports)

he passed away sadly due to this accident....

he was Pisces sun/Leo rising/Leo moon/Aries Mars, Aqua venus.

(my ex has both leo rising/moon, but he's Pisces mars like David Beckham)

Jim Clark's tragedy...

More people die in car accidents driving to and from their boring safe office jobs then these so called 'high risk' occupations.

Am I supposed to steal my man's keys and demand that he never leave my bed? Actually.... that sounds pretty good.

Women that like sports - even if they are extreme - are not necessarily agressive mothers. I don't see the correlation.

Don't believe everything you read.

If only, sports are a good channel to release stress and frustrations. It makes some people more social by engaging in an activity together and thats where a lot of children develop team work spirit and the importance of working in a team.

What makes some people potentially agressive is the lack of channels to release stress and frustrations. Sports can be of help in those cases.

To say women who enjoy extreme sports are agressive mothers and not norturing ones sounds to me like an AlternativeFact.

that's true, I just hadn't delved too deeply into it, or looked deeply. I think if a family keeps physically fit and they're a family that likes sports, fine. but there's always gonna be one or two sisters/brothers who won't like it and be more nerdy homebody.

I loveeee high risk high reward stuff. Gambling, rock climbing, fighting, roller coasters. If they could make a sport where it was non lethal but you had to hunt down or be hunted. I would be so in.

One of my houses for travel and love is saggy so that probably explains it.

Gotta trust the fear and step into the light

I love high risk men for some reason. I think that's why I fell deeply in love with my husband. He is always fascinating and so beautiful to me!!!

I think too they take HIGH Risks in loveLaughing

edit

good luck chriskodak!!! Big Grin

get that sag woman!!! go go go!!! go get 'er tiger!!!

heres some inspiration.

To get to that level in your game takes dedication, hard work and unshakable passion for the sport. It's not just a side hobby its what you do for your whole life (from when you could walk in most cases) and nothing ells matters. Chances are to spend enough time with someone to build a relationship they are probably already involved with your sport in some form or another, and they get it just as much as you do. I'm by no means an elite athlete but I love skiing, I live for it and I wouldn't date a girl who doesn't at least understand why I love to ski.

Heres an interesting perspective on it.
