Had to watch the replays and boy was I surprised by Couture. I wanted him to win(was doubtful though) but I didn't think it'd be such a one sided fight.. that I did not like. I appreciate a good beating hahaha you gotta earn that win man! In that respect the first fight was better although I can't remember names hmmmm
Sylvia was scared.. it all comes down to the mind! Fighters with minds of steel really have it going for them. And ANGER! Come on! That man needed anger! grrrrrrrrr GRRRRRRRR let them long limbs go wild! You're already losing! End it with a big POWWOW! Either knocked out yourself or the other.. who cares! God damn! These people need to love the pain.. yummmm pain.. knock me the fukk out! Blooooood
If I was his trainer I'd anger him right before the fight heehehee First I'd start by pulling out little hairs from his head annoyingly, then I would poke him multiple times when it wasn't expected, then I'd flick his ears and face occasionally hahahahh *sigh* .. and so forth lol Then let him loose aaahhahahahahah

Well, it looks like there might be a big anouncement this week of the UFC owners buying Pride. Which is awesome, because it is going to flood the UFC with some extreme talent.
If it is true Brandon Vera is going to feel like a dumbass for holding out for a better deal with this contract like he is, because the weak HW division is going to be flooded. And.....if Fedor fights in the UFC there will be a possible three titles held by Libras in the UFC....which is just f'ing rad. Hughes, Franklin and Fedor. Crocop went to the UFC so he can actually win a title. The guy is a badass through and through but proved he has no answers for Fedor, I don't think anyone does.
Franklin did alright. He is a counter fighter and the kind of guy who's energy is matched by the degree of his oponent. His fight with McDonald was fine, it was a technical fight that didn't look impressive because McDonald is really good at neutralizing in the clench, which is where Franklin had him most of the fight. I think Franklin has a good shot at getting the title back. It was obvious when he fought Silvia he was having a serious off night, and you can't do that with Silvia, he is too good. But you could see it in Franklins eyes and face that night, something wasn't right.
Hughes has a shot but he needs to both loosen up, let go, and go back to his roots which is slamming people so hard they go unconcious. Trying to stand up with St. Pierre was a bad, bad idea. I don't know if his confidence or hunger is where it needs to be, but I am hoping so, even though I don't usually go for the wrestlers.
Seeing the talent pool if Pride and UFC merges is going to be exciting though.
Wanderlei Silva v.s. Chuck Liddell, Fedor v.s. Arlovsky, Silvia, Couture, and Cro Cop again.
I don't think Fedor is beatable right now though, of all of the fighters in both orgs I see him as the most likely to retire without ever loosing his title. No one has an answer for him. Dude got Suplexed on his freaking head by Randleman and still submitted him. The guy is a machine. No one is unbeatable but I don't know if anyone has what it takes to beat him.

As of now in the UFC, there are no Libras holding the title. There's a Leo lightweight, Sean Sherk, a Gemini welterweight, Matt Serra, an Aries middleweight (woot!), Anderson Silva, a Gemini light heavyweight, Quinton Jackson (GOD DAMN IT, HE BEAT LIDDELL! Yet again, he is getting old), and a Cancer heavyweight, Randy Couture. Who knows though, maybe they'll come back. It'll be cool if Franklin reclaims the midweight title, seeing as he's a fellow Cincinnatian.
It looks like the guard has changed from Libras holding the most to Gems holding the most. Glad to see it is staying in the air signs.
I agree about franklin, sun sign aside I really like the guy as a fighter and a champion. I think he has a fair shot against Silva. Something was wrong the night he lost the title to him, it was written all over him as he was walking out. Same kind of energy as st. pierre when he lost his title.
I really want to see some Fedor in the UFC. The man is a beast and imo the best fighter out there right now. He is the perfect combination of cerebral and vicious to me. And thats what I like.
Hughes has the ability, I am not sure if he has the fire anymore. If he could get motivated, get it in his head that he is invincible again he could get the title back. A lot things I hear about him from other fans it seems like he is not well liked. I like his no B.S. attitude towards fighting and his lack for loosing sleep over what ohers think.
I think the only real LHW that could have a chance any time soon at the title and who is a Libra is Rashad Evans. The guy is a machine as well. Personally I really want to see Forrest make it to the top though. You just can't not pull for that guy.

I hope he does well in his fight against Shogun. I have a feeling they are using Forrest to make shogun popular. I think shogun is a couple levels ahead of Forrest and the UFC knows people will tune in to see Forrest because of his huge fan base and it gives a great opportunity to see what Shogun is all about.
