Yeah, I'm home tonight watching the game. I was at my fav Sport's Bar yesterday...drank WAY more than I intended! Started with bottomless mimosas for brunch and it was all downhill from there. So, I had to sober up for like 3 hours before I could go home! I was at the bar from like 11:15 am till the night game at 6ish! But, that isn't unusual!

Man, that's GIGANTIC HIT to that team. He's not a BIG NUMBERS guy but he's just impactful elsewhere that makes him a threat.

You may be right VH. There is definitely more to this story. I just left one of my favorite little restaurant/bars for lunch, and me and the bartenders were just stupefied. One of them said that maybe Moss is thinking of retiring and wanted to go back— I don't think that makes a lot of sense, but hell, this doesn't make any sense to me at all right now. It's not like RM is an under performing player or anything, and I agree with you (which one of my male friends scoffed at) - if Brett & his Vikings can't make it with Adrian running, and Randy catching, then they just won't be doing it at all, and I agree that Brett will have ZERO/NADA/ZILCH excuses. In my opinion there haven't been any teams this year that have just been en fuego to me (even some of the 4-0 teams that were out there last week). I will say a lot of people are talking crap about the Jets, but if Sanchez can pull it out, and really play through those hellacious cold games they may have a run for it(I honestly think that hurt him late in the season being a So Cal boy 🙂 )

Think Favre and Moss will have chemistry? I was shooting the shit with one of the other guys about this and the one undeniable face is Moss is a big fucking baby. Favre is pretty even keeled with a straight up "We win together. We lose together" ethic. Will Moss thrive in that environment? We shall see 🙂

Funny you bring up the Jets because I think the Vikings are playing the Jets on Monday and the Vikings play New England at the end of this month. GOING TO BE AN INTERESTING MONTH OF FOOTBALL 🙂

Moss hates to lose. Period. He's grown up a lot wherein, he's not as vocal and childish as he was when he first entered the league in respect to his distaste for losing and being on a losing team, unlike some other athletes (see: T.O.). But, I don't think he's going to be all sugar and spice if they have a losing season, I don't even mean making it to the big dance. Brett was VERY complimentary when I watched a part of the press conference(s) they were having and showing ALL DAY yesterday, and he was throwing out how great it is to play with someone you know is going to be a part of the Hall of Fame, etc. I'm like, "DUDE, YOU are an Hall of Famer too." That's just Brett though, and no matter how much he annoys the tar out of people for - retiring, not retiring, retiring, not retiring, people just genuinely like him because he's shown that he's "real."

Yeah, the Monday night game is going to be AWESOME! I can't wait!

but after this day I can finally be honest with myself in feeling that the NFL is fixed.

I might have to agree with you Days. There was so many BS calls yesterday in almost every game I watched. Initially I was like these mealy mouth lil' p@ $ $ y's need to "MAN UP!" But, with that being said, I never want anyone to get paralyzed or anything. It's a thin, thin line. I mean, it IS a contact sport for goodness sake!

Yea at first I scoffed at the idea because of the exact same reasons, USC. It's a FULL CONTACT SPORT.

But then I read an article Coach Ditka made regarding taking away the facemasks which would force players to play that way. While I think that's a very EXTREME way to execute the idea, there was a specific point he brought up that in the old days, when the players didn't use the full helmet, they STILL had to tackle and defend to win the game and they used it with their shoulder pads (Old school way).

I see his point and kind of agree that any good player will adapt to the situation.

Yeh VH, it is a tough call. I don't think that anybody is going to be happy either way; however, as you stated, everyone WILL adapt!
