Actions speak louder than words.

I'm learning this more and more with tauruses, and with my guy especially. I used to think I liked to hear words of encouragement and affection more than I liked to see things being done (and generally, I still appreciate verbal affection). But with taurses, I realize that isn't always the case.

My birthday is literally in one week. Last night, I was surprised with a "pre" 21st birthday dinner since my birthday is during a really busy time and most of my friends will be doing something important on that day. Needless to say, I was really surprised because my roommate had been planning a surprise something for me for several weeks. But this is not what truly surprised me. My roommate knows I'm dating the Taurus. While we were out to eat last night, she told me that my Taurus was the one who came up to her in the first place (and this was done weeks ago) to suggest something be done for my birthday. Now, this taurus had no idea what to do, apparently, so he gave the reigns to my roommate since he couldn't come up with any ideas himself. Apparently, he had suggested he use his apartment where there would be drinks and everything, but since his living situation is up in the air (he's moving out soon), that idea was thrown out. So, my roommate decided to bring me out to a restaurant. My taurus couldn't get off work though; however, I was still floored that he had tried to plan something for my birthday. My roommate told me that when he figured he couldn't make it, he sent her a FB message explaining how sorry he was and that he really wanted to come out. My roommate said she didn't really know how much he possibly cared for me until she got that message. I have to say, I thought the same. I knew he cared, but this whole thing made me realize that he cared more than I thought. I texted him joking that I was finally in on the surprise and thanked him over and over. He told me he gave credit for the surprise to my roommate since he couldn't come, but he told me not to tell anyone that he had been part of the surprise because it would "ruin his reputation." Lol

Anyway, being with him has made me more aware of his actions (as well as others) and has helped me to be more attentive than I usually am. Also... I kind of teared up when my friends surprised me last night... as well as when I found he he planned it too.

Lol it was sweet, hence why he doesn't want to lose his edge. I'm not openly affectionate either, so I understand him lol.

Still, this give me a good lesson on how Taurus people are more prone to express themselves through actions.

Well, I think it would be for both situations. It really is sort of the little things the guy does that you have to pay attention too.

He has the memory of a steel trap. remembers things we did in the past when we were together. also fought a guy over a family member's death.. long story- too much to go into.

also says hi just about daily via text

haha yeah, I'm the same way.. I'm a firm believer in 'talk is cheap'.. To the point that I find myself not often saying the things and I probably should say more often, And more relying on showing those feeling by my actions..

Anyone can say I feel _____ about you.. But to me the ones that take the time and put some effort into 'showing' that they feel ____ about you... That.. That means sooo much more. And says it that much louder too..


Even so, some aren't on the same wavelength as the Taurus. Some don't understand the Taurus way of communication and miss what was being said by actions completely.. Then we get the 'My Taurus has never told me _____, does he even care about me?" haha.. Hmmm, have you stopped and thought about what he's 'showing' you??.. Vs. waiting for him to say _____??



Yes actions speak way louder then words.. Maybe we just have a hard time being open about our feeling, a hard time verbalizing how we feel about you... Or maybe we'd rather just show you, Vs cheapen those feeling by just saying something that anyone could tell you...

The Taurus I know has a very hard time opening up and trusting, but does verbalize his feelings. Doesn't trust many with them though. Says he puts up a wall with many, if not all, but not with me.

From the Tauruses I know, many of them are very reserved (opposed to shy) so verbally expressing something is harder than it seems. I also have difficulties verbalizing things (probably not as much as Tauruses), so doing physical acts of kindness, ie. cooking food, giving gifts, doing errands, ect are things that show how much I care. So, I can understand this.
