I Pissed Off A Taurus Male

So, I'm a Gemini Female and I started seeing a Taurus male. I have yet to meet a Taurus I clicked with as well as I have with him. It's not that I don't like them, I have a brother and a longtime client that are both of the Taurus sign and respect them greatly, but I'd never want to hang out with them, and even if I did offer, they'd probably blow me off. But this Taurus I was seeing really understood me. As a Gemini it's hard to find people that are as willing to talk about anything as I am, but since he's so firm in his ways, he's usually very willing to give me his opinion on any given subject. Sex, money, future plans, abortion... nothing has been off the table. Things had been getting fairly serious and we were both falling pretty hard.

Anyways, the other day, he was having a bad day at work. I tried to cheer him up, but could tell he was in no mood, and maybe my Gemini need to over analyze got the best of me. Right before I decided to let him cool off, I made a remark that instantly set him off. It wasn't a personal insult, it wasn't a biting remark, it didn't even have anything to do with him, but he decided that it was an unsettling remark nonetheless. In response to this kind of thing, I really only do two things: apologize to the point that I'm groveling at their feet, or let the whole thing end and walk away.

With him, begging was not an option since I didn't want myself to look weak in the eyes of such a strong character, but I wasn't fully comfortable with walking away from such a good find. I apologized, sincerely, and tried to steer the subject away to give him space. He lashed out and was completely insulting to me and basically implied that he was done. I told him I was confused and upset but agreed with whatever brash decision he was making.

And now my brain is spinning. My reflex would be to blow up his phone with messages screaming WHAT THE HELL WAS ALL THAT because I really adored him. But I really do feel wronged. My question is, am I just waiting for ice water in Hell for him to come to his senses, or if I want this to work will I have to suck up my pride and pander to him every time he sulks like this? Because if the latter is the case, I'll have to call it quits. When I guy presents himself with no trigger topics, but has this kind of blind anger toward nothing, it has me parading on eggshells, and I just don't have time for that kind of bullshit (no pun intended.)

Sadly, this is most likely. I can understand both sides here with my Taurus Sun/Gemini Rising. There were probably things you've said before, like General mentioned, that he kept to himself... and unfortunately this time just set him off after already having a bad day, which we have every now and then, and when it's bad, you know it's BAD. Because we like to wear a good face most of the time and not let lowly, bad emotions show.

But from the Gemini side, I can sympathize with trying to pull someone out of their shell or bad mood, and getting rebuffed, and taking that extremely personal...which it is not, but stings just the same. And I can also understand wanting to throw that jab back at him for making you feel that way.

As always, what you do is totally up to you and what you are willing to handle. What makes him feel better shouldn't take priority over how this has made you feel, at least this time because you are in the dark as to why he blew up like that. You did know he was having a bad day, so I would give him a chance to come to you and apologize...because he will. What you do after that is completely up to you.

How long were you guys seeing eachother? What exactly did you say to him before he blew up? How long has it been since you heard from him?

This is SO the truth! Actually, 3 for a Gemini is quite generous lol.

Him and I were both having a terrible day. We were both making light of it at first. I made a joke that maybe my bad luck was contagious "like the flu, or an STD" and he decided it was an unsettling remark. This is coming from a guy that pokes fun of my mom for having a stroke. Also we consented to both getting tested before being intimate, which we did and were both fine. So an STD joke didn't have a high risk factor.

He said the remark was unsettling and disgusting. I genuinely apologized multiple times until he finally told me to just call him back after I got tested because I was disgusting him. And that was it.

We were seeing each other for a few months. This all happened 4 days ago. Still no word.

I'm not completely oblivious. I'm sure there had to have been other preoccupations that he never voiced. People don't typically snap like that over a joke. It's just difficult to assume that when he's been so forward and upfront about all other things.
