Patience

I am choosing this forum in the hopes I'll find some Taurus folks to coach me on this.

I have no clue what patience is. Anything in my life has to happen at lighting speed or I will yawn. It feels incredibly childish and immature of me and it annoys me greatly.

How do I go about acquiring this? How do I stop the sense of urgency in my mind?

You have a fire moon like me yet your Sun must help you more than it helps me.

I even had a lot of quotes about patience written on paper and plastered on my door, on my wardrobe door etc. I ripped it off 3 or 4 days in.

LOL I don't have much of it personally. Though in all fairness it depends on the situ. If I want a physical thing I make myself wait. Offset the expense vs the need.
If that need dulls I never truly needed it, despite wanting it.

I have this great list in my head of things I will wait forever for. No substitutions. These are material and they will come when the time is right. Waiting makes the having sweeter.

If it's a cookie I will cram that in without waiting. Greedy.

On personal interaction my opinion is swift. I have an immediate reaction, want things done yesterday, can't stand game playing or double speak and have a difficult time with people that have that mechanism.

Yes, VB...it's the personal interaction where I struggle the most.

I know people have their own timetable in their heads but I cannot wrap my mind around it. HOW CAN YOU DRAG YOUR FEET SO MUCH? I feel like slapping sense into them

I can never sleep if I'm traveling somewhere..the night before I'm a night owl. I'm so excited I cannot sleep at all.

Same. I'll be 43 in April and my palm still itches for swift justice. 😛

Patience..I don't know the right mindset for this. I need to put things in perspective and I lose focus fast when I think of this.

My daughter tells me the same. She gets so impatient with me because she can get from point A to point B so quickly. And she hates my stories bcuz I take forever to get to my point. But I'm not sure if it's patience that I have or it's just that it takes me so long to process such things. I'm slowww...I'm that feet dragger...but that's just me 😢 I am quite jealous of the quick witted tho.

I developped health problems because of this...I also feel like I'm taking years out of my life because I use so much energy all the time.

Quit trying to change what you are and figure out how to manage it, instead.

And if you really want to have some fun, see if you can use it to your advantage/capitalize on it. 😄

Mont, I'm trying to manage it. I just can't think of a way to do that because I get distracted with other shit.

Why rush? Life is short so you should try to extract all the joy you can from each moment. I remember when I would say to my Taurus ex "hope work goes by quicky" he would ask "why?" and then say he doesn't "want his time to be wished away", or something like that. He really was a Taurus! The most patient man I have ever met in my life.

I think Taurus patience comes from peace of mind, knowing that we -will- get to where we need to go, and we -will- get what we want. There is some comfort that comes from having some much faith in our perseverance, that we can take our time.

Yes, I need to tell myself this. Nothing is out of reach and I'll need to learn the peace of mind thing..it would probably ease the urgency.

It's a culmination of things over the past two weeks..one after the other. I can't cope with one because the next thing emerges, I get all up in that thing and then another and it draws my whole energy. I should be capable of waiting until the storm calms down but I cannot do it. I can't even sleep.

Tbh, that sounds more like anxiety than impatience.

No, gave up on that a while ago..it helped ease my anxiety.

My main motive right now is I still don't know a lot of things about what happened to Aura..I get that it's a whole process but I have so many questions unanswered. I know that getting this answers in a second won't bring her back but I still cannot wait.

My laptop had smoke going out of it when I plugged it in. Gave it to the Aries..I still have no clue if he was able to look at it or I should start saving for another.

My grandmother called me about my mom going at her bf with a knife. She has mental problems and they won't get her admitted in a hospital because in this country you need the patient's signature..and she doesn't realize she's sick obviously. With each day passing by she's getting worse and I cannot help her in any way.

I light scented candles and close my eyes. Feet flat on the floor and imagine they're your tap roots seeking sustenance. Picture them nuzzling mineral and working their way down deep to anchor. Take it up through your body and add the entire system. Limbs growing, blossoms bursting into life. Their perfume enveloping you. Bark and branch, leaves open to the sun. Rain pattering, breeze blowing. A circuit. Roots to canopy.

Water as well. Just sit at the lake when weather is soft. If possible swim in the suit you were born in.

this is a great suggestion. Incense can help to calm too.

I'm extremely patient. I'm not sure how to help other people obtain it though. I think it's either something you have or you don't.

I'm sure there are way to calm yourself down. There are breathing exercising or learning to recognize it and stop yourself from your normal pattern. I know that's what they do for people with anxiety. I'm sure it's the same idea for patience.

Or try to get out your built up energy with yoga or kickboxing. My Virgo bf does both and wrestling. Seems to help calm down his over worked mind.

Sounds like you need hobbies that teach patience.
I am NOT the most patient but I work in an industry that requires patience.
I take vacation days to help me come away when I know I at my wits end or I will go to jail.

Ugh...inpatient one here also.

I hate it. Tried to cool it down/control it but it seem so rooted in my core that is just impossible to get a hold on it.

When I used to maditate/relax it would help me feel more peaceful and harder to get excited over something, so you should try that. The problem is when I try it now (that I am older) I get to excited of doing it and impatient of "starting to relax" that I give up lol xD

For a tree to grow it takes a lot of time and patience. But when it does, it's so grand. Keep the image of that big, marvelous tree in your head. You planted it, you nourished it all those years, and it will one day blossom just for you. The more you put into it, the more it will pay off. Reward, quality, confidence, knowing what you want and knowing what you need to do to get it.

You must accept the chaos in order to endure it. Wield the stubbornness, so that you do not walk the worlds pace, rather you force reality to walk yours.

Lol Damnata...I'm telling you. A Taurus Sun Aries Moon is the worrrrsttttt...I'm always one end or the other...similar to VB but I have days where NOTHING happens fast enough.

But patience...I think I do best when I don't think about it as "being patient." I start analyzing, considering possible outcomes. Reviewing the past. Setting up for the future.

Then I look up and it's been an hour lol...and the Aries moon returns. I've got Merc in Gemini, I think that has something to do with mind agility...and how quickly I can think and re-think and overthink...anyways, the best advice I can give is find your comfy spot (We Taureans are good at that!!) in any given situation and try to view everything from there. You may find you possess more patience than you knew!

If I experience numerous setbacks, possess unrealistic expectations and drowned in my ego then I become agitated. Its almost a circular process where I want everything to happen NOW NOW NOW. Calm for a minute then back to my old ways... because I have no patience. In order 2 achieve my goals I need to drive slow, re-group and try again.

Starting from scratch, destroy & rebuild. Take stock of everything, good and bad, keep hold of the positive and discard the negative.

Despite what my external appearance conveys, I'm everything but chill. For me patience isn't a passive action nor is it the same as waiting around for things to happen. Its an active process that must be nurtured and refined.

My reality is shared with you; in all honesty, I don't WANT to be patient and wait for anything. I am very Taur-headed about what I want...and I really want it when I say I wanted it even when I know it won't happen lol.

I can easily tell when any of these faith facets are off...I am an eternal fixer of my own life. Everything becomes a mini-crisis which I must independently solve immediately...that is usually about the time I find that comfy seat in my mind and let the Bull do its thing.
