To me (and I'm not a good judge) it looks like you are friends.
My partner would only show his quite conservative side to me when we were starting out. The only innuendo came from my side (although he played along). He was always the gentleman. Definitely no talking about other women in a sexual way. He was shy and polite.
He was more like the guy who says he has a crush on you.
But i have a Taurus male friend and we are like what you describe. Quick fire wit, trying to out gross each other, constantly teasing, taking shots at each other. Talking about good looking men we both know (he is gay), constantly laughing.

i dont know, i would want the person i am in a relationship to be my best friend first and foremost. someone i find intellectually stimulating as well as being attracted. the behaviour of the guy who told me he had a crush on me was really a turn off for me. there was no fun. nothing stimulating even though he was much more attractive than "dave"
don't get me wrong, my partner is my best friend but it took a while to let his walls down. the person that i met those years ago is not the person he shows to me today. not many people see the real him. he's fun and funny. he is smart and kind and sees everything! he is witty and full of character and personality.
but he also is shy though and he is cautious. he treated our budding friendship like a child who carries something precious. he didn't want to ruin things or frighten me off if he showed the real him. these guys are insecure! it's a shame. they don't realise how amazing they are.

I'm not a Taurus boy but a Taurus girl and as you can see by my nickname,I'm a libra rising with moon and venus in gemini.I don't know if I'm the best person to give you advice but I've noticed that he is has more air in him like me,so maybe we are quite similar taurus type.
I personally never dated a taurus guy but I have a taurus friend that kinda likes me but he is different than your taurus friend.My taurus guy is more sensitive,tender and mellow,we don't tease each other but we love to talk a lot,maybe because of our venus in gemini.
Taurus are slow creatures,so you need to have patience.I don't know if taurus boys and girls are the same but I have a different venus and mars signs than your friend, so maybe my way of flirting or showing that a like someone is different.I think that you guys are just friends but,when it comes to taurus that's something good to begin with.Because,we don't tend to talk to people that we don't like,so if we like you we will see you as a friend and everything starts like that.But,be careful!!!!Even as slow as we are,we go after what we want(not much the girls depending on her mars ou venus and other placements) but me being a libra rising and a taurus I feel that I'm kinda slow and I never reveal my feelings.My best friend is a virgo with libra moon and he is quite reserved and doesn't show his feelings easily,so maybe your taurus having moon in libra tries to make you show interest,because libras tend to do that.
