TAUTUS: HOW FOCUSED ARE YOU ON MONEY?

This topic was created in the Taurus forum by Boots1313 on Monday, December 10, 2018 and has 21 replies.
Im good with money, but personally im not going to give up my comfort for it. Ie: work 21 days in a row...crazy hours and leave myself exhausted.

I need a balance...because i work hard but im a lazy fuck too.

My s.o on the other hand he can't turn down a chance to make $ $ even if we had plans...if he is offered a day to work he takes it.

So other taurus weigh in...how arw you with work/money?

Love the spelling mistake 😂

I’m generally careful with money but will sometimes splurge on something I want or save for something extravagant.

Money for me represents security and options.

Like you I need time off to decompress, I wouldn’t take overtime at every opportunity. I even worked part-time only a few years ago (full-time now).
Lol, my life is a spelling mistake (i tried to edit it but it wouldn't let me edit the title?)

Im finacially in the hole atm, but i can easily just limit my spending and save.

Thats how i am, i need my sleep and a day off (sometimes i work a full week...like laat week) but i wont do that for a month straight (i have but different circumstances)

My comfort and decompression time is just as important

Posted by AnotherTaurusGuyReturns

If I had a specific goal in mind I could work a long time without a break but generally wouldn’t want to. Relaxation is very important.

I guess my job expect for on rare ocassuins doesnt have an "overtime" option...if it did i would prob work nore...becasue i need the money and im working toward things.

My s.o on the other hand there is always work, everyday and since he wants a house/comfortable life, he usually takes whatever is available, whenever it is.

Im just afraid he will burn out and also when he breaks plans because of it. Its annoying.

But this was something he told me from the begining...he is a workaholic. And he just assures me we're both going to benefit.

Im very good with money actually. I work hard and also make time to relax and enjoy life. I do save for the future or when needed. Comfort is important for me and I do live as good as possible. But at the meantime I know how to spend and save.

I've always been fortunate to actually enjoy what I do. It's never seemed like work and the money was never the main focus, but the control freak in me cant sit idle knowing something is going on (I've tried) I have to be in there. Now, I do like to cut loose occasionally and blow off steam, but i actually enjoy working. Hell, most of my hobbies are what most people consider work.

Maybe he actually enjoys his work and/or likes being part of a team.

He does really love his job and coworkers and hes fortunate to have the job he does becasue its not easy to get into.

If he sticks with it and works hard he will be one of the top guys in a few years...and i know he definitely wants to be part owner...which has been a conversation he's had with his boss...taking over when he retires. So he has long term goals there and i think its great.

His attitude is do it while you're young and able.

I am exactly the same. My Taurus Moon and Mars shows. I need a balance. Fun and work. But my time off and comfort is more important than money. And I need to enjoy my work. Very important. I see a big difference with all my friends regarding to this.

Yeah, seems more like raw ambition and determination than greed or the love of money. Though money obviously is a byproduct.

It sounds like a good thing to me, a lot of people nowadays have no drive nor ambition. Even though it makes date night a little frustrating.

Exctally that. I dont understand it completely, but i do love his drive and ambition. That they will work more to get more money. They work harder to get more comfort but then they complain that they don’t have time. I prefer to have less money than sacrificing my comfort

I hear you , i wish i had a partner, man the extra income would help me move things even more quickly.

Yeah i guess thats where i come into play. I make sure the home gets clean and organized and cook...makes life for my s.o easier. I sort of understand the sentiment of the 1950s. Man works woman. Provides comfort. And its nice with the extra money the woman makes too...or at least she is finacially independent

But that is the thing they don’t have the time. They feel like they have to do everything.

I am an expert at working as little as possible and enjoying my life as much as possible. My friends always ask me for advice on that. But in reality it’s all about priorities.

I worked from the time i was 14 full time...2 jobs, put myself through college...and i dont really have anything to show for it. Im tired...im not working hard anymore lol
I'm an accountant.

Balance is important.

But so is respecting the 'value of money.'

Enjoy life on a moderate budget.

NYC is a great place to live for this type of life style .

Museums, galleries, film festivals, etc.

Everything I love on a reasonable budget.
