The Cuddly Affair

Ok folks I remembered something in my vault of memory and my Venus is feeling nostalgic so I want to share 🙂

This takes me back..15 years.

My class in secondary grade was awesome. Half of us were chicks, half were guys. We all got along really well.

Out of the guys, I got along great with a Taurus guy.

One of our teachers, the one who taught us Computer Science was my mother.

So Valentine's comes in and he buys me this cuddly purple teddy bear. He asked my Aries desk mate to give it to me for fear my mother will flip out lol. So after classes I was with my mom at the laboratory and she comes in "Hey Damnata, I bought you this"

Mom goes "Oh come on, no way you bought her that. Which one of the guys did? This is so cutee"

Poor Aries embarrassed as fuck "Well..the Taurus did."

I go downstairs to the Taurus and he tells me we should take a walk in the park. I was 14 and it was a lovely spring evening. We sit on this bench and he tells me he's fond of me. I tell him my parents are divorcing in 2 months and I'm leaving that city.

"Damn, I got awful timing"
"Yup"

So we both decide like the 2 earth signs that we are not to pursue it further.

It was so..cute. I even remember the bench, what I was wearing, what he was wearing. We still talk from time to time but he lives in London now.

Just the memories of us being all so serious about it and how genuine and easy life was back then.

There was no concept of dating..just getting along with people, being shy as fuck and blushing. Holding hands was the epitome of kinkiness back then. Not many could do that lol.

No, the other one has a Gemini Moon.

We catch up from time to time but he works in banking so that time to time is..every 7 months or so.

We're supposed to meet up this winter..he's coming home for christmas.

Most of my colleagues no longer live in this country so all of us trying to meet has proved to be impossible. We were supposed to have a reunion this year..15 years since we all met but so far..everyone is on a different corner of the Earth.

No texting.

No Facebook.

No mass media.

Just spending personal time, interesting dialogue, and subtle PDA.

Some things in life are simply just priceless.

Hearing a person's voice, reading a hand-written love letter infused with scents of cologne, a kiss on the forehead, and a light supportive brush on the back (non-verbal communication) can be very intoxicating...Very PG-13, but still intoxicating.

I don't know if you guys had this fashion growing up but here...each of us had an Oracle which was a notebook. There was a question on the top of each page and you'd pass that notebook to your classmates for them to complete it.

Page 1 - What's your name?
1. X
2. Y
3. Z

And then each would reply in their corresponding number, according to how many people had already replied.

The purpose was to see who was into you because all the oracles had the "Do you like me?" question. And at the end there was a blank page where you could say what you wanted to the oracle's owner. All the chicks had one so the poor guys had to complete 3-4 every week. Gone are the days of innocence..

Oh and during winter we'd all go out and fight with snow..you'd know a guy was into you because you'd end up looking like a polar bear drenched in snow by the time the break was over and you were going back into the classroom. And whoever spent that much energy to get you like that..was surely into you.
