What if?

What would you do, in this position:
You are far off land, in a very tiny boat, with your best friend, constant companion, the dog. You hear a faint splashing, you squint and see a drowning stranger, struggling to stay afloat-- he's waving at you, almost screaming. Would you-
-kick your dog out into the water and let the stranger in the boat?
-keep your dog in the boat and paddle away from the stranger?
-jump out of the boat, and let the stranger in with your dog?
-jump out of the boat, and let the stranger in with your dog?
Do I get back in the boat? If NO, than his ass is lost.....-keep your dog in the boat and paddle away from the stranger would be my next choice.
Don't keep me away from my animal babies, dammit! smile
This is a no-brainer: -kick your dog out into the water and let the stranger in the boat.

Dogs can swim, some people can't. I would make sure the dog follows us back to shore though.
I was going to go with jump out myself but dogs DO know how to swim smile So yeah I'd do the same as TG.
