Any fans out there?

I watched the first two seasons when they aired in the UK then lost track because they were shown later at night.

I've now started watching season 3 on netflix though and I'm hooked once again.

I've just finished season 3 it was awesome!

Sadly that's as far as it goes on Netflix. 😢

Going to have to get season 4 boxset or something now grrr.

LunarMaiden how are you finding season 7? Sometimes find these shows run out of steam later on. I remember towards the end of Lost I was like FFS just end already!

So I just went ahead and bought the boxset off Amazon instead and it arrived today woo hoo!

John Lithgow was just SUPERB in that role! For me, that was actually the best season. 5 and 6 went waaaay downhill. Luckily, they made a comeback in season 7. I have no complaints so far.

My sister just got me into this.... She gets the DVDs from blockbuster since Netflix doesnt seem to have the complete series!

Yeah Netflix only ever seems to have a couple series for most shows which is a pain in the arse to put it mildly.

Netflix sucks for that. Try Zune? I think you have to pay for that too, but we catch the more recent episodes there.

Hanna may not make it to the final. I wonder if they plan on having her change Dexter.

OMG I just read season 8 will be the last season and they already have decided how it will end.

I think it will end with Dexter "normal."
Perhaps kill his dark passenger.
No longer have the need to kill.

I think the show is based off a book, whose title resolves the whole damn story. Annoying! I have suspicions about the ending that I really hope are wrong.

What are you suspicions? I see tragedy.

I am not much of a TV watcher... but THIS is a great show ! After watching this one (season7 episode11), I found myself combing the internet for speculation.

I am hoping that Hannah is innocent of Deb's car crash... she confessed to Dexter that she has never made a mistake. The evidence that Dexter found could not have been conclusive. Dexter's game has been a little off since he met Hannah... he has not been thinking clearly... as love can often cause one to do. Dexter is always sure ! He almost ALWAYS takes a print when he is not completely certain !

Deb on the other hand... thinks she is 'in love' with her brother. She has admitted more than once that she will do ANYTHING to protect him. I think she sees Hannah as her competition... and even more so now, knowing that she makes Dexter happy. Hannah is always one step ahead of Deb... she never had anything on her that could stick until Dexter gave it to her. Just before... Hannah pleaded sincerely with Deb to drop it... which seems only to have made her more determined to make sure that Hannah goes down.

My hope (because we never now with this show), is that Deb did it herself... some kind of 'attention' thing maybe. Hannah always walks... she needed more. Deb knows now that Dexter always 'vets' his kills... she was unable to get him to do the same with Hannah. Hannah's MO is poison... from her garden... not prescription drugs.

I could not find anything about Hannah being in season8... I suppose she will die in season7 episode12. BUT... I think Dexter will blame himself for this, as he will have been the one who placed her in harms way... because he was not willing to place his trust in her love. "You should have killed me", she said... she is in love with Dexter... she won't want to go on without him... maybe she will develop some kind of a deathwish.

Hannah has been my favorite of Dexter's girlfriends... she has accepted him for everything... just as he is. He will never find another woman like her. Perhaps season8 will be about his undoing... a kind of big Romeo and Julliet scenario. This is romantic love... even the ones who are most deserving of it... are never truly made happy by it.

I cannot believe these two- Dex and Deb.

Did you see the season final?

****Spoiler Alert with Rambling Predictions*****

This past episode was shocking, I didn't see it coming. I feel so sad for Deb. I think she is in danger of a mental breakdown next season. I get a feeling if she survives next season she will become a serial killer. How are they going to explain Deb's gun shooting LaGuerta?

I like how they got his arrest out of the way in season 7. Since the beginning, I have been secretly hoping he would get caught. And we see how that turned out. ::snickers:: I think season 8 will focus on him becoming more aware of how his life style has affected his family.

I am very curious as to who had Dexter's mother killed? The guy was on the table saying it was either her or him. Who hired him? I'm surprised Dexter didn't follow up on that. Perhaps the old cop who was friends with Dex's father may have known something.

As far as Hanna banana, I was disappointed that she admitted to trying to kill Deb. 😢 I really don't agree with the writers there. It's not her normal method of killing, although that could account for her making a mistake. So you are right and Dexter acknowledges, they would never trust each other. I was hoping she had a line she didn't cross, looks like she's a certifiable nutcase. Perhaps she felt justified after he killed her father. They do love each other, I hope they work it out.

Hanna escaping custody leaves room for her to return next season. Maybe during the final days of the series. In fact, now that Deb is even more entwined in this with Dexter, I fear either she or Dexter will die next season. I'm thinking Hanna will turn up and save them both. Given the fact that Deb is now a murderer, instead of just being an accomplice to murder; I don't see her going after Hanna next season.

I also think Hanna is Dexter's best match, however Dexter's only brunette girlfriend; the crazy British Lila is my favorite because she evoked passion and emotion from Dexter. They had great potential, if only she hadn't become obsessed with him and tried to kill the children. 😄 😛

Well... since they have already decided that season 8 is indeed the end, they can kill-off whomever they want !

I imagine that they will kill Dexter off... sending him off to Argentina would leave it too open for a season 9... I don't think there is a cure in South America either... for truly silencing his 'dark passenger'.

Hannah escaped... so I am still inclined to believe in the Romeo and Julliet thing... Dexter might start searching for her frantically when he finds the plant she left on his porch.

Deb might just be a suicidal case... who knows. She's just not as fun as she used to be... she just shot her superior... she can't even deal well with her brother's little problem, let alone, her own issues... her being a cop-killer AND a brother lover !

Anyway... if they DO kill Dexter off... it will be no less than gloriously poetic !

Maybe next season will be about Deb's dark passenger and Dexter will have to try and help her get back under control. She killed without a code so maybe now that she's crossed a line she'll keep going.

LOL if Deb gets a dark passenger I will shoot her myself.
Too bad the show is ending next season. I have no clue what will replace it.

I think they are setting it up for Dexter to run away with Hannah.
David, Romeo and Julliet didn't have such a good ending remember.
I don't want them to kill Dexter, he has children and who's going to get rid of the serial killers of America?

Deb wasn't nearly as funny this season as she was in previous episodes.
I guess running into Dexter's dark passenger does that to you.
"Holy Franken Fuck" has got to be the best line from her.

I'm caught up! Just watched the first episode of season 8 last night. Wow.

Looks like it's gonna be a good un!

Although my favourite season so far is still the one with John Lithgow. 🙂

I read the latest Dexter book-- I just learned it was a show, last year.

Yeah with all of Vogel's surprise at Dexters unsociopath-like feelings I'm wondering if she will realize her and Harry were wrong and turned
him into a serial killer and that he could've controlled himself all along.

Maybe the show will end with a super epic Oops/that awkward moment when you convinced a kid to grow up to be a serial killer by mistake type of thing
