I'm not particularly attached to any of the Starks really. They're kind of annoying. So I wasn't THAT sad, unlike most people. (Bran is gonna be hot when he grows up...so I want him to stay)

It was sad that they were talking about naming the baby Ned right before the slaughter though. Fuck man :/

Same here. I mean, I liked Robb, and Bran is so cute (plus now he's on his Professor Xavier steez). But Catelyn I didn't like bc of how she treated Jon Snow. He never did anything to her! Arya used to annoy me a lot more, but I'm starting to like her. Sansa, I can't stand.

Still, who kills babies? Nobody deserves what happened to the Starks, expect maybe the Freys.

hate star wars. it sucks ass. i like the typical medieval fanatsy setting with dragons and kings etc. it is overdone but it is far superior to any futuristic type of stuff. i can't even get excited about anything to do with science/technology stuff even in real life and am bored about any fantasy shit.

It's definitely the medieval fantasy setting BUT...
The fantasy isn't the plot driver.

The story itself is mainly driven by..
Politics
Family Legacy
Greed
Sex
Revenge

The fantasy portion is kind of in the background in comparison.


If I had to relate Game of Thrones to Lord of the Rings...
Imagine if Bilbo FAILED. He failed not because of Sauron but because the fellowship back stabbed each other for their own gain. Gondor and Rohan are too invested into their own agenda to unite against a common evil. A world where choosing the "Honorable and Righteous" path isn't the same as choosing the "Smart" path and paying for that decision dearly.

The characters tend to be overall various shades of grey rather than black and white.
Those that might be considered "Good guys" are flawed individuals with their own weaknesses towards the grey.
Conversely those that would be considered "Bad guys" in a typical setting maybe aren't EVIL as much as motivated by the same things you and I may be motivated by.

No one character is safe from being killed. They live and die by their own actions whether morally acceptable or reprehensible. That is the Game of Thrones. 😄

The last scene with the two of them made me think Tyrion is not his real son.
That family is just awful.

(For the show watchers I've spoken to, I can empathize with trying to keep track of all the characters)
