Jon Snow's life is too much of a tragic sad mess for him to die off.
I'm guessing he has a special role in the future.
We have yet to figure out who his mum is.

I always wondered if he was Ned's nephew (from his dead sister) and King Barotheon's son. The true heir to the kingdom. Maybe she had him out of wedlock right before she died.
