Rose is funny, there's plenty of episodes on Youtube to watch, if you like the Brit comedy.
Hyacinth Bucket but she pronounces her last name Bouquet LOL

Hyacinth Bucket but she pronounces her last name Bouquet LOL

I wonder about that. Me and hubby were watching an episode tonight and her neighbors call her "Bucket" Lol
She gets weirded out and they fluster and go..."oh oh BOUQUET!"
and the vicar is scared of her. lmao
I love that show!!
'The Bouqueeeeet residence, the lady of the house speaking!'
Hahaha
It's also on Netflix streaming.
My favorite brit comedy is actually Fawlty Towers.
Love Keeping Up With Appearances. Hyacinth wants to be perceived as upper class and important.
RIP Onslow...
It's my sister Daisy. She's not the one with the Mercedes, sauna and room fit for a pony.
Sheridaaaaaaan!
I love Shameless--the UK version not the American version.
the thing is that I've observed with Hyacinth is that she's in reality (for a tv comedy show) quite well off, (not rich like what she wants, or queen elizabeth royalty) she lives in a quiet, quaint, middle class neighborhood with a good husband, and it seems as if she is in some kind of illusion/delusion. Her head is always in the clouds that she's this "queenly" woman. What makes it just so funny (due to the show's title) is that her poor relations (Rose and Daisy) live in the squallor part of town, and is quite embaressed about them.
Rose is this middle aged woman who keeps meeting men by the week, and can't settle down, nor do we think she will (it's not in her character for comedy's sake)
and Daisy is also having her head in the clouds with romance cheesy books and deeply in love with her beer guzzling, tv watching Al bundy type of hubby. She's the sweetest one.
I loved this show...I used to watch it with my grandma on PBS lol

Lol. There's the one epi where her husband forgets her bday and he orders the indoor security system for her on that same day.
I read that Daisy's husband (In the show) Oslo, died recently. R.I.P.
So did Mary Martin (Rose's character) r.i.p.

i LOVE this show! i grew up watching it. every Saturday night i'd curl up with my brit comedies. Between 'Keeping Up Appearances', and 'Are You Being Served' i couldnt pick a favourite. i loved Hyacinth and the planning of her 'candle lit suppers' lolol. and poor Richard; that man put up with so much but he was a real trooper. Remember she'd always frighten her neighbours and how they'd try to avoid her? Elizabeth would be too nervous to hold a teacup right lolol. Her hubby didnt like Hyacinth neither. ''Dont make me go....she'll SING at me." lolol. and dont get me started on the infamous 'Daddy'. lolololol

Elizabeth is always nervous! LOL what you mentioned are great reminders.
