Does it get better?

Can't sleep, felt like watching something light and fascinating real Twilight Zone like (more like Outer Limits actually). It was both, but at the same time rather campy and, well... sloppy in places.

So far seems like a sci-fi episode of Family Guy does more with similar material than what I've seen here. What can you expect from 90's tv, eh? Will give it a chance though.

And damn the 90's had no fashion sense. I imagine Baywatch is the only show from that era than can compete with today in that aspect. It's like everyone did their shopping at Aliexpress lol

We used to watch it. Really liked it at the time, but I'm sure that it would feel cheesy now. Kind of like watching back to the future 3.
You mean Back to the Future 2? That one was kind of sloppy. Third one had its shit together.

Whichever one wasn't the western. Maybe it was 2. I saw it again a few months back and it was sorta cringe-worthy. I've never been one for sequels though. The original is still worth watching.

I'm more of a Quantum Leap man to be honest. That's a classic.
I think I gave that one 10 minutes before switching it off. It sounded too good to be true on paper.. and I don't even remember what bothered me, I just remember it felt dated af. But it's another one I will be revisiting for sure. Admit it u just liked it for the slick 80's visuals lol

No it never really gets good, every episode is a pretext for a jump into a weird parallel universe. There is some humour at times but not so often. At one point there is an arc with returning bad guys but it actually gets less interesting than the random worlds.

The only good thing is that it was made 20 years ago, so they are actually giving their best shot, and it can be legitimately entertaining. If it was made today, you know it would be 100% network filler and not even worth 2 minutes of one's time.

Since you mentioned Outer Limits, I don't know which era you're talking about, but the 1960s series was rebooted during the 90s and that period of the show was really very good. Top quality.

Haven't really seen any Outer Limits but I know the basic premise. It'ss more hard sci-fi? I remember the 80's Twilight Zone reboot had some real diamonds in there too, altough a lot of it stunk in that campy 80's way.

Especially one good episode comes to mind about a man who wakes up in a world where everything is the same, but the words mean different things (like "dinosaur" is "table") so he ends up having to learn the meaning of every word he thinks he knows.. basically the whole english language. Made me chuckle out loud.

I wouldn't call the 90s outer limit hard scifi, it's light sci-fi and what-ifs with really well written scenarios and lots of cameos.

It has a small arc about an earth-alien war where every episode ends with a mind fuck, it's fantastic.

Dude upon reviewing I totally saw the Quantum Leap pilot but it sucked so hard I totally repressed it. It's about that pilot.. the only interesting thing about that episode were the first 10 min.

Anywho there's some controversy about the US vs. UK release in regards to the music. The latter is apperantly preferred among fans bc it has the original music intact and not the "forced, generic score" added to the US release. Anyway I'll have to watch the US version cuz that's all that's available on PirateBay. Over n out.
