BANGS!

Anyone with long hair taken the plunge and tried this out?

And were you happy with the results... or did they drive you crazy?

I get them, and then end up letting them grow out. I don't like that you have to constantly get them trimmed. Other than that, I like the qay they look.
*the way*
I get the wild hair every few years and do it! Then after two or three months I can't wait for them to grow out! My hair dresser now knows to keep them a longer length so when I pull my hair back I can still have them off my face.
I have long hair and side swept bangs. I love having bangs and depending on my mood I'll style them a particular way. I used to dislike having bangs because of the maintenance but years ago I've changed my mind and I've been rocking my bangs since.

I remember when I was a kid and my grandma used to give me what some call a chili bowl haircut and she'd add bangs and they were all choppy and uneven. I HATED it but what's funny is I see that style a lot now on people. I'm like, people do this on purpose?!✂ 😱 lol
Yeah I tried it out in high school, didn't work for me. I don't have time to use hot tools on my hair every day, nor do i want to because of the damage and all. I would have to straighten the bangs.. I hated it. Pretty much if i cant simply wash my hair and let it air dry on my way to work/school, it is too much maintenance for me Tongue
I used to have bangs. It didn't work too well with curly hair, but I'd honestly like to try it out again so I could cover my big forehead. Unfortunately, my hair is way too thin, now. I can't win.

That's what I was thinking!

As long as they aren't too short or choppy and kind of blend...

Lol

I just know that there is no going back once the deal is done.

Really pretty cut!

I chopped over 12 inches off my entire head INCLUDING bangs back in March of this year.

They were great at first, but then they get annoying.

Bobby pins are now my best friend.

It really is. smile

And damn... 12 inches.

Bet it looked great though.

thinking of getting some bangs cut again Big Grin I just don't like that i have to straighten them all the time - i'm scared i'll ruin the hair.

True... but I have to straighten my hair anyway, otherwise

it's everywhere.

But I always have some kind of 'product' between my hair

and the flat iron, and I try to keep the use to a minimum.

I was gifted a very good one (le Chi) and what a difference...

it isn't as damaging, and you don't have to use it as often.

Highly recommended!

It was cute for about a week. Currently in the regrow stage.

I mean I cut it off Halle Berry style Scared lol

Scared

Lovely!

But I can see how it might be high maintenance.

Also, Ladies ... and P_Ands,

Thank you.

smile

I'm about 70% sure I'm going to do it.

Or 60%

-.-
Try it and decide if you want to keep them. If not, it's just hair...it will will grow back. Winking
I haven't had them in ages but would like to try if I can be consistent with the style.

You're right!

And I really need a trim, anyway... may as well give it a try.

Sophie style... not Zooey. o.O

Loved everything but the frequent trims. Eventually I took matters into my own hands. And then I eventually grew em back out.

ps. You probably *don't* wanna take matters into your own hands. 0.o

Even if I saw a you tube tutorial?

I kid... I know better lol

OH the things I could do with them!

We can do this again and get away with it, right... just on occasion, of course.

Yess to bangs! smile I've been cutting my hair by myself for a decade or so, never got the results I wanted at a hair salon especially when it comes to bangs. I don't like full on bangs so much, I keep my hair in almost exact Brigitte Pardot style:

If you're scared to do it, try my approach - I drink a glass or two of red wine around 2am at night, then go at it Big Grin Always comes out perfect for some reason haha.
I used to do that Big Grin

I steer clear of the vino though these days, and oddly...

not so good with *feeling* my way thru-- or maybe it's

not odd at all.

Heh...

I like that Bardot look... almost the bangs I'm going for,

just with a leeetle more in front.

Thanks, safire. smile

I do my hair myself too. In the spring I had fringe/bang. now they are grown.
simple and lazy

LET ME CUT YOUR BANGS!

but i can probably only do it on straight hair. you put the hair through your fingers and you snip it bluntly horizontally then you take the ends and go at them almost vertically to make it look more natural.

Yup.

There is also the twist and cut... she uses your trick at the end, too:
