Okay, I have always been a bit of a misanthrope, and I'm one of those women who doesn't have friends - just friendly acquaintances I enjoy the occasional, brief interactions with.
The one thing I will honor, however, is being my "Sister's Keeper" whenever I can. I'll tell a woman when she looks good, if I know someone has been trying to lose weight, I'll encourage them and tell them when they are getting stronger, I'll compliment a woman when I know she's gotten a major change, and I tell her when she has food on her face or lipstick on her teeth. Women I know or women I don't know; I'll share my perfume if they need it, and I'll encourage them to go for things. The best part of that is, despite the pettiness between many women, when it really counts, most generally pull together. One such example is being caught during That-Time-Of-The-Month without appropriate gear.
One day, while in the campus restroom, one of the "popular" girls on campus asked me for a pad. "I am not sure I have pads, but I definitely have a tampon." I began to rummage in my neatly packed gym bag.
"Ugh! No, I hate those."
"Yes, I know what you mean. I have never used them before recently -" This is where she gave me a look that screamed 'Yeah, RIGHT! I don't believe you!'
"No, really. I've always only used pads. But I one day didn't hav-"
"Yeah, yeah! The only reason you can use tampons now is because you're getting THE PEEN!" Both she and a group of girls standing around started laughing.
I was speechless. I gave her the pad and left the locker room. I wasn't sure how I felt about her joke because I've always been a private person, and I've never been in the kind of situation (relationship) for someone to make a joke about me in that context. I was analyzing what had happened so that I could decide how I felt about the situation.
Ladies, you know how tough we really are, but when we want to be coddled and babied, we do That Thing as we talk to our man to inspire that protective instinct in him? Yeah, I was doing that when I later recounted my locker room story to my boyfriend. He literally LOLd in my face. Dimples galore. I didn't get the reaction I wanted: "Oh, shut up! You're just thrilled because her saying that means a bunch of people think you're "tapping this.""
Him: *grinning like an idiot* "Exactly. Plus, I haven't heard the word "peen" since highschool. That's really funny."
That got me thinking: How rare is it for a woman to never have used tampons? Is it the popular, go-to choice? Her reaction of disbelief really befuddled me.
So, ladies, which do you prefer? Pads or tampons? I find that tampons work better when I go to the gym. It's helpful to wear a pantyliner for extra hygiene. Pads used to feel uncomfortable when I exercised, but they are definitely more comfortable to apply

That's childish. For her to be in college and be a grown woman and to make middle school like jokes like that is completely childish. I feel sorry for you.
I used to use pads until I got curious when I was 13. I used to be a book worm, and in the books I read, most of the teen girls used tampons. I felt like tampons were the mark of a real woman since only women can technically use tampons the way it should be used and because you have to be a little more mature to use one. It wasn't as life-changing as I thought it would be. Now I alternate between pads and tampons. I usually use tampons when out in public with a liner since it's cleaner and moves around less. At home or when I'm comfortable I opt for pads.
Do you go to a religious school?
