Who here has had it?

I’ve convinced my boyfriend to sponsor laser hair removal as I am fighting a losing battle against ingrown hairs. I just had a few questions.

1) If you get the Brazilian removal on your coochie, do they do your rear end too? If yes, is it like at waxing salons where you bring your knees to your chest, or do they actually have you turn around/bend over so they can get up in there?

2) Now that you’ve had laser, how do you get rid of the remaining hairs that grow? I heard it’s 80-90% effective, so what do you do with the remaining 10-20% of hairs? Can you wax them off?

3) Do you still get ingrown hairs in the areas you had laser performed?

4) Can they leave a Bermuda Triangle or landing strip? If yes, how? Do they draw an area so they know to avoid putting the laser there, or—

When you do Brazilian - for an ass just imagine doggy style ...

I hate the fact that you have to wait until hair grow back at least 3 weeks...

What’s the point then in this all costly pain? It feels goood though...

Google European wax salon. They are everywhere. And I love nose hair waxing...orientals don’t do that for some reason...

This isn’t about waxing

Posted by UnusualVaginalDischarge If you get the Brazilian removal on your coochie, do they do your rear end too?

You’d have to get a consultation at the place you go to—i did my brazilian and the inner rear was an extra cost.

If yes, is it like at waxing salons where you bring your knees to your chest, or do they actually have you turn around/bend over so they can get up in there?

I actually don’t remember this part—i think was on all fours or on my knees so that she can get in there for best results

2) Now that you’ve had laser, how do you get rid of the remaining hairs that grow? I heard it’s 80-90% effective, so what do you do with the remaining 10-20% of hairs? Can you wax them off?

When you’re done with the treatments, you can either get more treatments here and there and/or you can shave or wax the remaining areas BUT do not wax when you’re getting treated, the laser needs the roots there.

3) Do you still get ingrown hairs in the areas you had laser performed?

Hell no, why you think i got my coochie, pits, ass/asshole, legs done in the first place? I ain’t seen an ingrown in ages. All I have is an enlarged pore on my mount of venus which is hard to see anyways.

4) Can they leave a Bermuda Triangle or landing strip? If yes, how? Do they draw an area so they know to avoid putting the laser there, or—

You’d have to ask in the consultation. I’m sure they can, they’d just have to do pictures for exactness and they use a white pencil for drawing

Before each appointment, you shave so you can actually shave just what you want her to zap.

Thank you! If dxp had a best answer button, your post would be it. I set up a consultation for Monday, so we shall see how it goes!!

I forgot to update y’all.

My last session was in January. After 6 laser sessions the hair still comes back. It just grows back a little slower. Before I got laser I would remove the hair from the root and expect it to start growing 1-2 days later. Now it takes about 5 days to grow back after removing from the root.

I also noticed there was better success on my mons (some patches aren’t growing back) than down lower. Also, of all the hair that does return, I notice each individual hair is thinner than they used to be. They used to be coarse/thick: now they are light in color and thin, so less prickly.

I had mine done regularly. Its amazing. If you keep doing it regularly some parts won't grow any hair anymore. I haven't done Brazilian since I got preggo in December and it's still in really good condition.

How regularly do you go? I don’t want to commit to a lifetime of shaving just to regularly get laser done 😬

In the beginning, every 45 days. Then every 2-3 mos after the hair started growing less 🙂

How many initial treatments did you do every 45 days? The ladies told me I wouldn’t see 100% success unless I did 12 treatments, but the internet told me 6 would be effective so I did 6 every month for 6 months in a row.

6 every month? In one area? That's a lot! The skin gets burned and it will turn dark if you do it before the skin heals.

It depends on the body part and the hair growth tbh. For the Brazilian, I had to do 12 sessions. For the legs I had to do 8 and for the underarms I had to do 6, before I really saw noticeable change like the hair growing less or hair falling out on its own. There was also very little ingrown hair compared to shaving. I think I only had ingrown once and that's about it. But it will grow thinner every session anyway.

I mistyped lol. One every month, for six months!

I guess maybe I should pursue six more treatments then. This chick who used to do my eyelash extensions told me the type of laser matters too and she said the laser that was used on me isn’t the best. She told me to find a different place with this newer laser, but I can’t remember what it was called.

OK lol yes definitely keep doing it. Your friend is right. IPL for example is cheaper but it's not the best because it doesn't penetrate the roots to prevent hair regrowth. IPL is more like what you can buy for home laser treatments like what Philips is selling. So if you can find someone who does something stronger than IPL, go for that one. It also helps so you get less sessions because the hair will grow less!

Yeah the laser used on me was an alexandrite laser. I looked up the other types and I’m pretty sure my friend was suggesting YAG laser. Do you know which one you got?
