Nails

I love having reasonably long natural nails but can't keep the length all even.. at some point or another one would break and I will cut it all off and start again..

I recently went back to having SNS on them after a year's hiatus to keep the natural nails from breaking... but with them over the top, I can't scratch properly with my nails.. I think this was what put me off them for a while... any hints...other than sleeping with something sharp under your pillow to scratch any itch that pops up.. lol

They've grown out now in the last 3 weeks.. just contemplating whether to take them off or replace it with a new colour..

cold pressed unrefined castor oil. Use it as a hand lotion or, put some in your favorite hand lotion.

My problem is over filing.

Gosh! It's overdue for refill weeks ago!

Are you blind?

How much crap can get there? Whew!

Remove it and never do it again if you can't afford timely refills!!!
Why don't you just stick with overlays, instead of putting

tips on-- if you're getting them re-upped (filled) in a

timely manner, they aren't going to break on you.

If I keep regular polish on, faithfully (though often I'm lazy),

I'm usually good.

Note: I don't wear my nails as long as you do, so results

may vary.

Will this make them stronger @VenusAquarius? I've been using Sally Hansen stronger nails... they make the nails hard but doesn't prevent them from breaking..

Why? Why don't you let professionals do this?

If you can't afford it - file crap down and re-paint! Who needs to see these ugly claws? I am offended! I've been a manicurist for 3 years! I know this shit!

It's disquisting!

If your doctor prescribed it - I think that's ok!
I file my nails with a glass file. They don't seem to break and peel as much as before.

That SNS stuff looks too permanent! I enjoy painting mine...if I don't paint every few days I go bonkers

Ooh... I've wondered about those.

I would probably find a way to break it, but I

have to try it now.

They're very sturdy. It would take quite a bit of force to break them, I think smile

I'm getting one for my Gem friend in purple with

the skull, just like yours.

She has a porcelain skull by her kitchen sink

with a gaping mouth for the scrubber.

She'll love it.

I may skip the skull for myself.

Thanks, Wynter. ♡

I used to change the SNS every 5 days until the nails got so thin from the constant buffing... that's when I stopped for a year.

It is fairly permanent (you remove it by soaking in acetone just like shellac).. but since I do alot of manual work..normal polish just chips after a day for me.

I found that SNS suits me better than an acrylic overlay..as they don't use the UV light to cure and doesn't have as much of a smell when they're putting it on.
