Very good read from the link. And I believe it. Especially the part about looking at their devices while going down stairs not paying attention. I can't tell you the number of times I've seen that. Even when or if I'm out walking in public and I see a woman or man for that matter on their cell phone not paying any attention walking towards my direction opposite from where I'm walking, I'm not moving out their way. I'm gone keep walking right in their path until they look up and see me coming. If they get knock down as a result of cellphone use while not paying attention while walking oh well. Not my fault.
As for the stairs. I'm very fragile and bruise easily. I'm not a woman but I have a much greater chance of falling down stairs because of my ailing physical condition. If I do take the stairs I always grab hold to the railings with both hands to keep a steady balance. And if I'm going down stairs that has railings on just one side or railings on both sides thats far apart what I do is turn and walk down the stairs sideways holding on to the railing on one side using both hands. Going down slow. Very slow. I practise safety.

We wear heels, so natually we have a higher chance of falling.

I wonder how this translates into driving and the romanticizing of women hitting curbs/objects, then going on about their day like it didn't happen.

It’s the boobs, they throw some ladies off balance. Not me though, I’m as swift as a fox! 🦊

I usually fall upstairs.
But, the one time I fell downstairs was at work. This guy was always commenting on my heel hight. I'm 5' 2. So this day we were coming back from somewhere and the whole time we were going down the stairs, he starts up again. It was like 20 steps. "Venus be careful. Can't believe your balance. Don't fall...". At the 4th step from the bottom, there I went. Bust my knee wide open. I was bleeding. He was on his knees profusely apologizing for what he called jinxing me, helping me get up, almost carrying me. Telling everyone would listen what he did.
I helped him with his casting from his TV to his phone, his resume, coached him for interviews, and he got the promotion of his life.
If you can't walk in high heels, then don't wear them, gals.
That's all I have to say.
