Loyalty vs Respect

which is more important to you?
Both
I don't understand the question...

If he doesn't respect me what need does he have to give me loyalty.
I think respect covers everything. If you respect your partner as a human being (and respect yourself) you'll work on the relationship. You'll stand up for them. You won't disrespect them and you won't tolerate others doing so. You will respect the relationship and you'll seek to work together to address issues to keep it going. You'll exhaust all efforts to save it, because that's what adults do. If you can't stay together then you at least know you tried and you can respect each other afterwards. By moving on to another relationship you were loyal to the end, and you make sure that you don't bad mouth each other after it's over. First respect. Loyalty will follow.
I like loyalty more than respect as well.

But if I’m disrespected, I will voice my opinion about it. But I need loyalty.

There can be so many things a person can “feel” disrespected about.

But I never doubt loyalty, it’s unwavering.

You’re either with me or you aren’t.

Not concerned about either. I've lived long enough to tell you that respect has been easier for me to come by and readily expressed to the point of blushing... even from enemies.

Been thinking about being called "real" alot in my life and more recently by a male employee.

Loyalty not sure if I like it. Makes me feel burdened. I imagine it being a blindspot... it feels more temporary or conditional. Like loyalty has more "it depends..." scenarios. People have conflicting and hidden loyalties... like something you find out in plot twists and at the end of horror or suspense films. Yeah, a blindspot.

Really interesting perspective - thank you.
How can you be loyal to one you don't respect? They both go hand in hand.

Who gives a shit about loyalty outside of a relationship?

I will worry about myself, it’s every man for himself.

Loyalty is for a spouse. I owe no one else it.
