Well, for once..you need to realize we are a LOT like italians only less obnoxious. Men are usually polite and gentlemanly but they are not used to women hitting on them so it takes them a bit aback. It's quite funny to see. Open to dating others yes.

In a way this society is contradictory because on one hand it's heavily religious, on the other everyone fucks everyone on the down low lol. It's funny but Romanians never come off as promiscuous compared to other nations because there's a...shy,humble way to do it in a way. And we all value commitment at one point and we're just getting there one commitment phobic step at a time. There is an emphasis on settling down and not just dating for dating's sake. You are expected to find what you want and not string people along...and then to move in and plan marriage at some point.

One thing I really like is how against cheating this society is. People will frown on that really hard and if you are married and you cheat..everyone will make sure you never forget this. Marriage is of the outmost importance and getting out of those vows is unacceptable. However, up until then...people take it pretty lightly. We usually fall fast though and we push for a commitment early on.

I know it sounds contradictory because on the one hand we engage in casual sex but it always leads to some type of relationship. It's a bit like getting involved with an Italian woman..there is no getting out and you best know it.
