Travel to India.

Hi. My boyfriend is going to India soon and I am planning to go with him.
He will be staying in Pune or Indore for some time
I might only have 2 weeks or so to stay there..Touring around might not be accessible for me as
he will be working too. I just wanna go there to spend some time with him.
Any travel tips to India?
Places to go?
Things to do?
Things to watch out for?
I mean, no offense but I keep on getting news about India and rape case/theft is high...

and other things I have to prepare for/ keep in mind??

^ What?? That can't be true.. Lol
Oh well, he's there for some business so can't do anything about it. It's just I wanna spend time with him down there while I can. I also heard, theft and scams are everywhere so I'm kinda scared to go.
I really mean no offense in here but I wanna hear some unbiased inputs about the place just so I can brace myself to what's gonna happen.

Lady I recommend you to stay inside in your hotel if you are in Indore or in Pune. Yeah there are good shopping malls there but people are not good, you'll get pissed off with their attitude. If you wana explore India then I recommend fly to down south to Kerala once your boyfriend get his things done. Either Goa or Kerala, I wont recommend any other place. Beautiful beaches and places to visit, not so spicy food, English speaking people around, clean and good hospitality - the two places got these.
