We are leaving to Seattle tomorrow. I am taking my two teenage kids. Any fun ideas? We hope to kayak off Owens beach, whale watch to San Juan Islands, underground tour, Pikes market.

Any other ideas?
Might like the Music Museum. It's a pretty cool place. There are also ferries that will take you to nearby islands. I highly recommend that you do that. They are absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!

That's my neck of the woods by the way. I think you'll fall in love with the PNW. I moved here almost 8 years ago and I did. I can recommend some places to eat...particularly Marios pizza in Capitol Hill. My inexpensive site seeing recommendations are Gas Works Park, Seattle Center, Volunteer Park, and Alki Beach.

Here is a list of parks that you guys can explore.

The EMP & Seattle center are cool tourist destinations, especially for teenagers...for some good food and some cool shops the university district(university ave NE specifically) is a good spot, the the U Dub campus is beautiful as well...and go to gas works park! Astounding view and unforgettable structure(there's an abandoned gas plant there). More so for shops and culture you have to visit Fremont, where the Fremont troll is...so many awesome vintage stores and so much art culture there. Capitol Hill also has a lot of awesome things to see, an occult shop(edge of the circle), an anarchist coffee shop(black coffee), lots of unique bars(if you have time away from the kids)...my favorite coffee shop there is caffe vita, if you like some good quality coffee(and vegan donuts!)...also SIFF cinema is a cool theater for art house & quality films if you're interested in that...there's so many things, I miss Seattle Sad

Lol...funny, your post wasn't here yet when I started mine. This is a BEAUTIFUL area.

If you can get away from the kids...oh yeah...I can recommend some awesome adult bars to visit. lol Take advantage of the breweries. Elysian is one of my FAVS!!!
Thanks so much ladies!! I have been to Seattle alone and there are so many awesome places. You have given me some great ideas for family trip. This will be my kids first visit out there.

I live in Colorado not lots of water around here unless it is lakes. They will love Puget Sound.
